I would like to see everyone's abrasive blasting cabinet lighting, especially the LED options. I just ordered one of these to try, but I don't know how I will like it.

Just make sure you put the mylar on the lens or it will be frosted/translucent right quick.

I didn't put enough thought into my lights. The two flood lights don't really work that great. Interested to see what others have done.

Boy, did I ever underestimate how big that LED was. I missed where it was described as 11.8 x 9.8 x 5.6 inches, and I was expecting like a 4x4" light. Oh well, it gets bright and it gets pretty hot too, which is what I was hoping to avoid from halogen lights. So I guess it was kind of a bust, but I will try and use it for a while until I come up with something better.

Here it is on top of my HF 5 drawer cart for scale:

Temporarily installed to try it out in my new HF cabinet:

I bought six bulb sockets, a few feet of zip cord and a 6-pack of 60W equivalent LED bulbs (the cheapest I could find), and hung them in the back of my cabinet. It's almost blindingly bright (with the equivalent of 360W of lighting). The nice thing is that the LED bulbs I got came with plastic exteriors (no glass), so no cover is necessary.

Interesting idea. Where did you get the bulb sockets? Have you tried the cabinet with less than 6 bulbs on?

I got them at HD. I happened upon them walking the electrical aisle trying to figure out the cheapest way to light my cabinet. They were a little over a buck a piece, and came with a hook to hang them from a wire. I stretched a piece of wire along the back of the cabinet to keep the string up as high as possible. They're still a little glary, and I think that a shade would be a good addition, but I haven't gotten around to that yet.

I got one of those 18" fluorescent stick lights. GE Bright Stik? (That's an LED thing now, but I think that was the name).

Screwed it to the top and ran the cord out a hole. Works fine.

I decided to add another LED flood to the setup. This one is a 'Solla 30W Wide 144 LEDs Flood Light, 2250LM, 5500-6500K Waterproof, White' for $24. It is 7x4.7x1.5" and I am going to put it in the front right corner. I think it fits better and the lighting is much improved.

Here is the cabinet with the single 50 W lamp on the left:

Here, with the 50W on the left and the 30W on the right. If the specs are to be believed, this is almost 6000 lumens total. I have yet to get these permanently wired or use them while operating the cabinet.
