Going to install a Gooseneck light fixture on new build at 12' over the center of a 16'garage door, looking to install a led type floodlight, any recommendations welcome.

The fixture has a medium base socket so looking for a par 38 led type flood.

Pics of the fixture might help. What I think of when you say gooseneck should not have a flood lamp in it.

This is what I think of. Maybe with a different arm but this type of shade.

Why? Screw in floods are not as good. Take it out and put in dedicated. Better heat sinks. Lowes has some that last. I got tired of replacing amazon ones. They work well intermittently but fail in a year with dusk to dawn.
