I am wanting to put the Honeywell 4' LED Shop lights that are at Sams Club in my garage.

My questions is they are hanging lights. Has anyone mounted them flush? How Can I get them close to the ceiling?

Any Idea's?

There a several versions of those lights. BUT......One problem with those lights, the cord comes out the top........making flush mount a non starter without a modification.

Some do not have a daisy chain power connection and all have clear lens which makes them a poor choice all the way around.

Ran into the same thing with mine. I ended up fabricating Brackets that used existing holes in the ends of the lights. Screw them on with 10-32 Button Heads. Made the Brackets from .063 Galvanneal. The electrician just screwed them right to the deck.

He mentioned the Electrical Inspector said something about how nice it was they supplied the mounting brackets with the lights.

Hard to see them in the pic.

Hey Jazz, I have the similar lights from Sams, the non linking/wire out the top version. They look to be made the same as the ones you posted. I unscrewed the end cover and took a look inside. That center square tube is completely empty on mine. Would be easy to drill a hole right through and mount with a screw. Maybe take a look at yours.

Not LED, but when I hung mine with cable out the top, I cut 1-1/2 lengths of pvc conduit and used as spacers between the fixture and ceiling. Aligned the pvc pieces with mounting holes in fixture and used long screws to attach to trusses through ceiling. Looks nice and clean.
