I have a 40x50, 14’ wall and roughly a 17’ peak, and put up 12 of the UFO high bays. I put them on 3 rows of 4 lights, 3 separate circuits. I also set them up to dim. I’ve only had them for 6 months but I really like them.

For a good, bright light are you running all 12 at 100% power? Or do you find you're only running some or dimming them most of the time?

I love the UFOs. 16' up, I have 5 of them in a 40x60 and the switch is labelled "daylight". Do get a setup with a dimmer... That's the only thing I'd do differently. They've been up 3 years and I've not touched them once.

Actually, during the day, the skylights are adequate unless it’s something technical. At night I usually only run 1 or 2 of the bays unless I really want light. All 12 on 100% is really good work light. It’s the best I’ve ever had or worked in.

What's the wattage / Lumens for those youre using. I have a similar size shop and am going to be installing lighting in the next couple weeks.

I have UFOs. I absolutely love them and they provide a ton of light (we're using 5 in a 40x60). They are literally "too bright" - if I was going to do it again, I'd make sure I had dimmers. And you do get glare when looking up.

We just did a 20x45' expansion, it'll likely get 2-3 UFOs on a dimmer.

Yes, we simply drill them into purlins.

I previously purchased some used mercury vapor lights from another source. They were bulky and hard to install. I saw the Adiding lights advertised on Facebook and was a little suspect of the quality I would get... buying online... so I ordered just one. It has turned out to be everything I wanted. The material and workmanship is the best! It came with all the necessary parts to mount it several ways. It truly replaces the old, big, bulky, high energy consumption lights of the past. I went to Lowe's yesterday thinkng I could find a similar item at a lower price. They don't have anything that compares. I'm going to outfit my whole shop with them. Great product!

Reach out to [email protected], he helped me pick out the UFO's for my barn. I already had recessed lights for it so he even took the specs from those and ran a bunch of different lighting analysis for me with those integrated into the plan so I could see how much light there would be. He was super helpful and even offered to bring the lights home for me since he happened to live sort of close. I ended up shipping them from their warehouse in TX, but the offer was nice. They shipped quick too, I got them three days before they were supposed to arrive.
