I plan on installing some flush mount lights. Kinds without cans. The room is 12’ x 16’ with 7’6” ceiling height. I’ve prewired for 8 lights which I’ll install after Sheetrock. I can’t find light projection plan to see if 4”, 6” or 8” will work best. It is in a tool room in my shop. Thanks.

I've done mostly the 6" fixtures, but recently tried some 4" in an office space and don't love them. A lot less light.

I can say that I will never use the ones with flush lenses unless I have no choice. The ones that are just a little thicker with the lenses slightly recessed look so much better, especially with low ceilings.
