My first post here, learned a lot and am currently building my own garage, with lots learned, thanks to this site!

I will post a build thread once I made some more progress, to share what I've done so far.

I am currently researching some LED lighting, because I have currently only 20AMPs going to the garage site, until I can afford to run full service to it. However I need lights and power for the openers and it would be nice to save hydro cost too.

I finally found some Canadian manufacturers of LED lights. Panel lights, T8 replacements, and various other types. Some kinds are not individually available, but T8-LED and flat panel lights seem to be.

Anyways, this is what I picked for my garage, sadly the high bay fixtures are only available in big bulk, but they are also pricey at $300-$330 a piece.

If you are serious about the smart panel you might want to check out the thread I started when I found a Lithonia 2x2 troffer. It is a bit more efficient but it is also a troffer meaning you need to cut it up into the ceiling area.

CREE LED lighting is really stepping up their Canadian presence.

They have Troffers, surface linears, and retro fit kits for florescent fixtures.
