LED lights and gable fan on the same circuit?

I have 10 4' Costco LED lights in my shop. I calculate that they use 3.5, rounded up to 4 amps on the circuit. I have purchased a gable fan that draws 2.5 amps. The lights are switched and I would like the gable fan to be switched as well. can I run the lights and fan on the same circuit? The circuit is currently a 20 amp circuit?

Is there a problem having a motor and lights on the same circuit.

Lights and a motor on the same circuit is not a code problem if it is a 20A circuit. Interaction between the lights and the motor might be a problem.
