Somewhere I should be
So I'm over budget according to builder on the electrical fixtures for our new house and detached buy $3k.

I was going to use (3) 8' LED fixtures inside that put out 11000 lumens. I have real issues in my seeing things when i work on something. Anyways, they were pretty pricey (and that may have been too much light!) and we are trying to cut costs where ever we can and was wondering what you all might suggest and brand. Ceiling height will be at 12' and hope to have 2 windows maybe 3.

Thanks!

I initially had recommended T8 fluorescent strip lights, but for a 16x26 building, simply putting in some porcelain sockets and screw-in light bulbs would be the least expensive option. Typically this isn't recommended for larger buildings measuring in the four-digit square feet as it takes a large number of these to light that large of an area, but for your detached garage, it should be fine. I would put in 6-8 of these and you can change the brightness of the bulbs to suit how bright or not you want the area.
