LED Neon

I always wanted to learn how to work with neon, but after looking at some tutorials, find out it is rather involved with time, skill, tool$ and material$.

Of course like everything else neon is becoming mostly obsolete now is been replaced by "LED neon" Rolls of round LED lighting that can be formed similar to neon glass, different colors, dr. Electrically switched on and off flashing and so forth, i'm from examples appears to be fairly bright.

I have some projects for the basement bar I'm thinking about just wondering anyone has seen her work with those type of materials.

I've seen some LED "neon" that looks pretty good. A lot of LED "ropelight" doesn't.
I'd like to be brought up to speed as well.

REAL neon is a art. Nothing else is the same.

I agree. There's nothing quite like the look of neon.

Still, that other stuff looks like it would be a lot of fun to mess around with.

EL wire is what you want to search for. EL is short for Electroluminescent and is not LED.

I’ve wondered about the local shop that does neon which is beside a great breakfast place. Never stopped in as a mostly do breakfast there on Sundays. LED neon will likely have a market similar to retro porcelain signs. But purists/old school will want the taditional neon. There is just something magical about neon.
