I really want to replace the existing halogen lights I have around the garage. I am looking to install 3-4 fixtures and from what I read 30 watt units should be large enough.

Now comes the problem. I don't want to spend $300/unit for commercial fixtures but every time I think I've found an inexpensive (~$30) one, some of the reviews are really horrible.

Has anyone here installed something as described and are happy with them?

I bought an LED flood light with motion sense from Costco last fall and it seems to work just fine. It looks kinda goofy, but it works.

I bought 3 of those about 1 1/2 years ago. Installed 2 outside and one inside the garage. The one inside the garage would come on when you entered the garage. The 2 outside ones still work fine. The one inside the garage died. I took it back to Costco without a receipt and they gave me my money back. Costco does not sell them anymore that I know of. Not very good quality, but you cannot beat the Costco return policy.

I got one of those when they where $120.

Been working great since Oct. 2013, EXTREMELY bright and has the best motion sensor I've encountered on a light.

Good to know. My last LED motions would eventually disco light. Very annoying. I'd return them but eventually they stopped carrying them for obvious reasons.
