Anyone have experience with LED type 194 white super brights and type 1157 white 35 LED's? Having a lot of trouble seeing my instrument clusters on my Dodge trucks at night. Which ones and where do you get them please?

lilredex,

I've been buying from www.superbrightleds.com for years. They have quick service and reasonable prices. I buy red replacement LED lights for the dash lights in my Unimogs and military vehicles. So, I don't have direct white-LED experience with them, but I see no reason that their white LEDs wouldn't be as good as their red LEDs.

Another + for superbrightleds.com. The only problem with using LED's is that newer systems will think that you have a bulb burned out because the LED's pull such a low amperage. Some cars need a resistor to get around this. If installed on the blinker system, you will more than likely need a special blinker to get them to work. SuperBright sells those also.

I replaced all the bulbs in my Ranger cluster with 4-bulb 194's from www.superbrightleds.com a couple years ago. It's super bright, the dimmer still works, but it will not dim as far down as factory. I've been loving it..

When I did the signal lights, it just made them fast blink like a when a bulb out, but they worked. I added the load resistor and it took care of that. Look around alot of the bulbs offered now for tails and turns have a resistors built into the bulb.

Guys....on the blinker issue....there is a solid state blinker that you can use that solves that problem.....

Downside....it won't change speed when a bulb burns out....
