Led replacements for 300-500w halogen floods

I have three exteriors light fixtures that need replacing. Not sure if they have 300w or 500w bulbs right now, but I'd like at least a 300w equivalent fixture, which puts me at 6000 Lumens or more. Most of what I am seeing is around 2000, which feels like it would be inadequate.

Dimmable would be amazing. Color temp should be pretty warm, 3000k at most

One is for lighting the front of my house, the other two are on the rear, facing the yard and pool.

A brown housing would be best as all the trim is light tan.

Any recommendations?

Great color rendition and despite saying they don't dim (or the used to) , they actually do dim quite will with the right dinner. Very wide and even across beam. I've specifed hundreds. And actually 80 watts, not 90 - this from factory engineer. When I learned of them they were only stage and studio but I see it's marketing had expanded.

Thanks Bill. I Can't find a ton of info, but they look like they might be discontinued. Even so, at $400 each, I'm probably not buyer for this application

There are LED bulb retrofits for these halogens, I got one several years ago from superbrightleds.com for an outside fixture but thru a series of blunders it didn't fit, but did in a halogen work light. Awesome.

But Lowe's carries them now in at least 2 different lengths. Shop around.

Not looking for replacement bulbs. I'd like new fixtures. I want something with a diffuser and don't want to deal with a bunch of retrofitting on these old housings.

I've had excellent luck with these, but unfortunatley, they aren't dimmable. I've used the 30 watt 3000k's several places, including my own back yard. I've used the 50 watt, both 3000 and 5000k for everything from big back yards to flag lighting. The prices are pretty reasonable, but you can't get them off the website. Just add everything you want to a quote and submit it. They get back pretty quick.

Thanks. In this application, I am a little worried about exposed diodes. One light points back at the front of the house, the other two are less of of an issue, but if we are using them while in the pool, the glare might be bad. They look high quality. What's the cost point?

The price varies depending on what/how many you are buying. I went through my old invoices and it looks like the last time I bought any was 12-23-21, I got three 50 watt fixtures at $45 each. On 12-09-21 I got one 50 watt for $50. The last time I got 30 watt fixtures, I got three for $35 each, but that was 4-28-20. There is free shipping at a certain price point, I'm not sure what the $ amount is though. I've only got that once and it was a $1200.00 order of some strip lights.


Edit: The glare isn't bad. If I think of it, I will post a picture of my 30 watt 3000k when it comes on tonight. I have a 50 watt 3000k on another customers house pointed at his pool about 50 feet away. I've never been there at night, but I see him all the time at his office and he raves about it. Nothing about the glare.

Great feedback and that price point is better than I expected. A lot cheaper than the one I linked.

Don't use watt ratings ! Stick with lumens!!

Those are parking lot lights, designed to be installed on a pole. Also, they are not available in 3000k.

No. I have a fixture with 3 - 150W
