Hi all and thanks for taking the time to read my post.
I have a 30X40 pole building with a 14' ceiling. Cement floors and OSB walls and do general work. I currently have T8 fixtures but the ballast are begin to die and I would like to replace with LED.
I can get the FEIT 2 pack at Costco now for a little over $20. They are 55W, 5000 Lumens, 4000K and 50,000 hour. I have the lights on, maybe 1 hour a day if that, so even though these are a lower end fixture they should serve my purpose.
I'm wonder if someone could help me figure out the number of fixtures I might need because there is vast array of info on line but all saying different things

Thank you for any help/advice that may be given

A lot of folks here over the years have used this: https://www.visual-3d.com/tools/interior/

One problem is that it's not got every light in its database. So if you're using one that isn't, you need to find one from the database that matches. And another is what average foot-candle value to shoot for. Some folks here have used 100 as a target but I suspect that may be kind of bright... you'd want dimmer switches.

Sams club 4ft work lights . I have 12 in my 18w x 28deep bay with 12ft ceiling and 2 post lift .

Main flat work area is 16 of them 3 on each wall pointing in and 2 strips in middle of 32w x 28deep and 9ft 6" celling. I got almost 98% no shadows and no complaints in almost 10 years . Have had to swap out 4 units is all .
