Trying to find a picture or video to reference exactly how much light a 35 watt wall pack puts out.
Numbers claim it's equivalent to 150 watt HID. Really ?
I have studied their "photometrics charts, but real life experience would be handy.
I think of 35 watts of light, well, I think of 35 watts. LOL

This will be mounted about 14-16' high on the front of my shop to add light out in front of the garage door.
Ain't going to be playing baseball out there, but don't want it to be like a landscape light either.

Anyone have experience with these wall packs?

These are the two I'm leaning towards.
The 80W for the back of the shop for much more light and the 35W for the front.

the housing on this adjustable model would mount cleaner on my metal siding, it would fit between the high ribs.

All the wall paks we install are LED. They put out a nice bright light and no one has ever complained. These should work good for you. IMO

How far out away from the wall will a 35 watt "shine"? Says about 40', but.
Like an old single C cell flashlight, or ?

Thanks

The key is in the "Lumens" numbers. If you have other LED lights look up how many lumens they produce, look at the light pattern they provide, & you will have an idea of what the ones you're looking into will produce. 5,460 & 11,925 are both respectable amounts of light. The 11,925 will be twice as bright as the smaller one.

I use https://www.e-conolight.com/c-lite-...wp-a-arfc-lg-4l-series-3000k-dark-bronze.html, though I think it was replaced by a newer model. It is full cutoff so directs light down low. No glare when you are approaching the building.

Photo at night shows light pattern with the light mounted 9 ft off the ground. Trees in foreground lit by IR illuminator on my house but the area near my garage, 125 ft away, lit only by the 35 watt wallpack. Note that trees near garage not lit up at all.

Light on the ground bright enough to easily see where you are walking out to 75ft but only bright enough to read within 25 ft. So forget about using it as an outdoor worklight. My only regret is that it isnt dimmable.

That helps a lot.
I suspect a 35W mounted @ 15' would make a pretty good difference. I don't need light to work on machinery out there, more so for backing the boat in and other folks pulling in to and out of that area. I have a nightlighter on my xfmr pole about 100' away as well.

Sure appreciate your time and info man!
