LED worklights on a tripod

Hi guys, does anyone have any particular experience with a certain brand? I want this to be mobile because I am using it when I detail my car in my garage, and I want to be able to fold it back up and put it away. I have decent light in my garage but not for detailing.
I was looking at Husky and Powersmith some good reviews some not so good especially with the tripod being flimsy. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated.

I use the Milwaukee M18 rocket light. Works off of battery or mains. Plenty of light, folds up very compact, and is quite stable.

I have a couple of the M18 rocket lights also and like them. The M12 tower looks good also but I can’t justify it with the two M18s. It is more portable but less powerful.

I bought this Porter Cable light - primarily because Costco was selling it.

I figured it could easily return it if it did not work out, but I was pleasantly surprised, it actually works quite well for what I use it for and I ended up keeping it. It collapses down and folds into a cylinder

Thanks guys, your responses are much appreciated. Git, is the tripod stable? Some of the ones I have looked at the lights are top heavy, and prone to tip I’ve easily. I will look into the M18, thanks again. Just checked it out and the M18 looks very stable. I love that it is dual powered as I will be most likely using it with an extension cord to an outlet.

Ya, I never had a worry about it falling over or anything like that. Keep in mind that it is mostly nylon or some sort of plastic, but I don't see that being a bad thing in this situation

I have an old double halogen set on a folding tripod that I put LED bulbs in from amazon (these https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06Y453H5X/?tag=atomicindus08-20)
They’re stable and give pretty good light.
Plus I already had the base fixture.
I see the old halogens pretty cheap now on Craigslist now as people are tired of burning their hair off with them.

I did the same, and it worked great. We have two scene lights mounted on a fire engine (big, detachable tripod mount lights) and did the same thing. Amazing to get rid of that heat from the old halogen bulbs.

Given I detail, I use mostly scangrips but have a light from Temco Industrial that works really well. They have a variety of portable work lights, I have the 3 bulb version but it's too bright for paint correction. It works great for everything else though.

They are all LED 5K which is a nice color temp that aligns w/ my overhead T8's. It's worth googling the part numbers on other sites as the availability is better.

Any idea on life on these? how do they handle being knocked over? i'm so tired of the halogens

Thanks so much bc.detail! Yes that is exactly what I want/need for detailing. Thank you for the link, unfortunately a lot of them are discontinued. I went to your website, I really wish you were in my area, you would have my business in a New York minute. I see on your website the 3 light one with the tripod. I will check out your other links. I have been looking at the Scangrips but I was unsure if they provided enough light, I know a lot of detailers use them. Thanks again for that link also.
