I have a Westek 13’ strip light. I tried to install a Lutron led dimmer switch on it. All the lights will do is flash on and off slowly. Any suggestions. Thank you for your time. Brad

Not all dimmers are compatible with all LED lamps.

I suggest you contact Westek for guidance on what dimmers work with your LED lights.

There are several different types of LED tape. Most common types are 12 volt or 24 volt, which will both have a small transformer to operate them. If this is what you have, a wallbox dimmer, like Lutron, will almost certainly not work. If your tape is just white, then it's likely not dimmable at all. If it's a color-changing tape, then there could be a small remote control provided by Westek that will also have a dimmer button on it. Look for part number LTAPEREMW-T for this remote.
If your tape is 120 volt, then the manufacturer will have to tell you which dimmer manufacturer's make & specific model will work. Good luck with that!
