It seems I can’t stay away from this stuff......

Last fall, I was fortunate to be able to purchase a 60x60 building. When I made the deal, I couldn’t see the actual floor due to the amount of stuff the previous owner had. Needless to say, the concrete was in less than spectacular condition.

My original plan was to just put a smooth, single color down but the condition of the concrete changed my mind.

So, I rung up Scotty, again.

We finished the floor on Tuesday evening.

The process:

Patch and fill with Gel filler and Xtreme Set 100
Grind. Used a 4” angle grinder for localized grinding and a Diamabrush for the majority.
Acid Etch. I wasn’t happy with the Diamabrush results.
HD Medium Grey.
#5 flakes, broadcast to rejection
Remove Excess flakes and lightly scrape with drywall knives.
Two coats of Nohr-S clear in the same day.

Georgia in January is not Minnesota cold but cold enough. I had to leave the door open to get under it but we sealed it up with plastic sheeting as best we could. I ran most of a 250 gallon propane tank through the heater keeping the place warm.

Overall, I’m very happy with the results.
A tip of the hat to Scotty and the service he provided.
