They're made in the USA. What do you want to hear? Not the same as a heavy duty Coxreel, but made in the US nevertheless.

Ok, well that is something. Have you used one before? The only feedback on our board is on the garden hose reel and that it *****.

So, I am hoping some one has one in their shop. If they work well, not a bad price at $160.

Oh, and I want to hear more about how PVC is not acceptable for air lines...

I've got one. It's Craftsman branded, but exactly the same. It works well. Kind of cheaply made. It's almost entirely plastic. The main air inlet/swivel started leaking after a couple years of light use. I ordered a replacement swivel from Legacy and it's working fine again. I expect in a couple years, I'll need to replace it again. If I were looking for a reel, I'd be looking for one with an all metal (brass) swivel.

Shocker,
Do you absolutely need it to be retractable?

Well, that sounds like it works alright! I think I am going to order up one and see how it works. Need to get the compressor first. :)

Well, I suppose not. I really like the idea of retractable. Whats your plan?

Probably thinking of a hand crank reel like a Rapid Reel. They will be of steel construction with a brass swivel. Don't think they are US made any more but I would be hesitant with a plastic reel even though some have had good luck.

I have found a few used hose reels for cheap from time to time, If the rewind works, the worst thing you'd have to replace is the swivel and you'd have a lifetime product. Keep your eyes open. As I always say, be patient and you will find the deal you want.
