Legacy Industrial - Bronze / Mahogany + Polyurea

I like how it turned out. I've used polyurea in my commercial building and it's been great. This is a "garage" area that also doubles as a game room.

It's legacy industrial water based stain - Bronze with Mahogany accents / highlights... First time I've worked with water based stain, which was a little challenging for me.

I'm going to try the same thing in the main garage with Legacy stain and HD6600-MMA.

I didn't prime it. I've had no adhesion issues with "new concrete". I'm doing 2 coats here, but it really depends on how porous your concrete is... My shop only has one coat.

I'm working with "new concrete":

• Let the concrete dry fully
• Do surface prep (Remove any glues, masonry, stuff that gets on it from construction)
• Clean it - blow it out, blow it out again, sweep it, wet sweep it, wash it out, wash it out again
• Final cleaning - ran robots over it for about 2 days
• I used Delta Dye - which is a spray on water based dye - easy to use (get some practice first)
• Let dye dry 1-2 days
• Apply polyurea - I use a small roller on an extension and go around all permeters in all room, then use an 18" epoxy roller to coat in polyurea - assume the first coat will take a lot of material
• Coat again (optional)
• Enjoy

The floor looks great! Just curious, why chose a MMA sealer instead of the polyurea in your main garage?

My shop has polyurea. MMA is less expensive than polyurea and is UV stable. It's simply a cost thing. Most of my "work" is done in the shop, not the garage... I think polyurea is a better option for working garages.

I saw this on Instagram this morning, it looks great! I hadn't considered doing a concrete stain before, but now I might.
