It took me awhile to decide what company and system to go with like alot of people. There are several companies and alot if info out there. I decided to go with Legacy Industrial. I talked to Scotty several times thru email and over the phone. He was very helpfull and responded very quickly anytime I had a question.

I was nervous before I started but after I did it there is nothing to it. If you can roll paint on the wall you can do this.

Prep
I sweep the floor a couple times then pressure washed to get all the concret dust gone from the saw cuts. Then I acid etched the floor. I mixed the acid in a watering can and poured it out over the square. I worked it around with a broom. I did square by square and rinsed it of with water. Then I nuteralized the acid with a baking soda mix, applied it just like the acid mix. I rinsed the concrete and then pressure wash the concrete to make sure all acid was off. After it was dried it still wasn't rough so I did another acid etch, baking soda, and pressure wash.
After all that floor was still smooth and not rough. I contacted Scotty and he said I should be good. So I moped and sweep the floor to make sure it was clean. I let floor dry for a week and it looked like the floor was striped from the pressure washer. So I put a few dehumidifiers in there to see if lines would go away. They did a little bit so I let them run for a few days to draw out extra moisture. Here's a picture of what the floor looked like with the striped right before I started the clear system.

The only advice I would give is make sure you give yourself plenty of time and don't rush it. I mixed it one gallon at a time and applied it by myself in a 32x48 shop. I used the ultimate clear system and added in the anti skid. Here is a couple pictures of the finished floor.

I think the floor drain is the only way to go. The floor drains are not that expense. I ran it across my two overhead doors so when you pull a car in during winter snow will melt and go there. Also I can wash my cars in the winter time.

Scotty how is this sealer with yellowing? I have a 30x40 shop that this would do really good in but there is quite a bit of sunlight in it as we keep the doors open fairly often.

The epoxy used will amber over time but not like most clear epoxies, it holds up well. The urethane is non-ambering. Together they do very well and are used at many large retail chains as a result.

If you get intense sunlight all day long, you may want to consider putting down (2) coats of our Xtreme 80 Polyaspartic (choose slow cure). It will never amber and is very tough as well.
