Day 1 of putting down Legacy Nohr-S pigmented polyurea. Im an amatuer and I am sure I short cutted a few things and maybe my end product will suffer as a result...or maybe not.

Rented a grinder first thing this morning and worked on the floor from 8 until about 2. Did the best I could, but the grinder wasnt the best, wasnt that heavy, etc... Im satisfied with the job, although a pro would probably not be. I dont feel like if I spent another 8 hours it would have gotten much if any better. My floor is not REALLY flat so the grinder took the high spots down(I worked those a lot until the grinder ran smooth over them) and the rest of the floor had some "tooth" to it for the coatings to grab onto...

Then we swept and vacuumed the floor really well. Then went over it 3 times with denatured alcohol... I could still see some dust residue on it after the 3rd wipe down, but we said screw it at that point as we were out of alcohol and microfiber pads and I didnt want to go back to Home Depot...

Got down to business with the Nohr-S primer coat. Mixed up all 3 gallons in my kit with the 3 containers of activator. My wife started using the small roller to cut in the edges... She did ok, but started out kind of slow and sloppy(dont mind the trim). I think she has the hang of it now... Got like 95% of the way done and the primer was starting to set since it was starting to lift off the floor onto the roller(just as the instructions say it will)... I messed with that little section once and made it worse so I stopped. I hope the next coat will hide that... It was like 90 or so in the garage so I knew working time was going to be shorter than the 40-45 minutes Legacy states... But so far so good. We will be doing the next 2 coats tomorrow.

Day 2...

First layer of Polyurea and flake down.

Garage is around 700 sq. ft. give or take. We had the 800 sq. ft. kit.

I felt like I got good coverage out of the polyurea, but once we were done I felt like I had more material left than I should have. If I could do it again I would go a little heavier on the product, although like I said I got good coverage and am happy there.

Used all the flake. Separated into 8 cups so that we use them evenly. Ended up with what looks like some clumping at an angle and I know we had a few where we lost control of a finger full of the flake. Looks decent for the most part. Im happy with it for our first attempt. We will sweep lightly prior to clear coating this afternoon. I think we could have worked in larger areas(we were only doing about 4x4 at a time) and then we probably could have used a hand held fertilizer spreader like I saw on a few youtube videos, but those guys were working much larger areas.

Day 2.5

Clear coat...

We swept the whole floor to get any loose chips up. Also scraped the bigger "piles" lightly to break things loose. Got about 2/3-1 cup of loose chips up so not many.

Did the ultra fine anti-skid.

Dang that was tough cause you cant see it. I tried to work some reference lines like middle of window to middle of garage door. It worked to an extent...

I THINK I missed a small square in about the dead middle... nothing I can do about it now.

You can see the anti-skid in the clear in this picture.

Overall fantastic product from Scotty at Legacy.

There were no instructions in the box, but I just used my phone and downloaded the PDF and read them before we did each step so not a big deal.

I ordered the premium tool kit plus spiked shoes. I was missing 1 paint tray, only got 2. Not a huge deal as I grabbed an extra this morning. I did not use the spiked shoes as we worked small sections vs. larger ones that we would need to walk on to throw chips.

I have no complaints about the products or how they went down. Everything was high quality. Fumes were minimal. All my buddies in my car group are asking about it and cant wait to come see the floor... car guys are weird LOL.
