It is my understanding that Lehigh Valley Abrasives are now making their own flap discs, or at least I think they used to be imported from somewhere in Europe. Has anyone tried their USA made flap discs recently? Are they as good as what they were several years ago as far as longevity and performance are concerned?

I ordered a bunch about 2 years ago. I haven't had any complaints with them. I don't have a lot to compare them with as I mostly use them and Benchmark Abrasives for my flap discs.

I don't think they make anything in the USA but if they do they're getting their abrasive material from VSM in Germany as there really aren't any American manufacturers of flap disc abrasives. 3M's Cubitron 2 comes from either Canada or Europe and all of the rest of the world gets these materials from a Cabal of European manufacturers such as Saint Gorbain, Klingspor, SIA and Starcke. I've had excellent luck with Leigh Valley Abrasives' products and highly recommend them.
