Lennox ceiling garage heater any good

Indiana climate 24x32x13.6 pole barn..what size heater 45k btu?..Is the lennox a good brand ceiling mounted unit gas heater? Local hvac company recommended that brand to me..it was $2250 installed or $2900 for furnace..he was telling me to get the furnace for future ac unit but i dont really want spend 5-6$k for heat and ac..wouldnt a ac window unit work good for while too?..its for a general purpose working on cars and parking use..should i consider getting a sealed sterling gc unit for outside air intake combustion unit vs standard vented? Thanks for any help

I dont want buy brand of heater and later on down road not get parts for it..local menards sells the mr heater and i seen alot people here like reznors and modine hot dawg..the heating is more important to me than the cooling lol..summer is short around here

The Lennox heaters are the same as ADP which is owned by Lennox. They are not as popular as Modine and reznor and you will probably be stuck with the Lennox dealer for parts. Lennox is very careful who they sell parts too. I sold Armstrong HVAC which is owned by Lennox and I could not buy lennox parts, unless it just happened to fit an Armstrong unit too.

Modine and Reznor you can buy parts from any HVAC dealer, and a good presence online so parts are easy to get.
Mr Heater is ok, I think they get a worse bad rap that they deserve, but parts availability is questionable. I had a customer that waited 6 months for a part. He bought a Modine from me and reinstalled the Mr Heater in another building that he didn't use as often.

I wouldn't get excited about the outside air intake. I have installed both, and in a shop I don't see any benefit.

As for Steerling, it would depend on how well represented in your area. I rarely saw them here.

After looking at a Lennox on google image search, it looks like a rebadged Mr. Heater (or vice-versa). The parts might be exact same, but even if they're not, I don't think you'll have a problem since it's a reputable brand.
