I have a Lennox Model MPDT 3328 CNM gas fireplace in my master bedroom, running on natural gas.
It is not used often but I have started to notice that the burner under the imitation logs is not fully lighting. The flame is just not propagating across the entire burner. Also the flame is very blue, more like a cook top burner than a "fireplace look", with a bit of yellow.
I have not torn it apart yet but really looking for advice on what to look for. I will pull out the burner, blow some air through it, check for spiders, cob webs etc. There is a mixture shutter, that I will also take a look at. There are no signs of any sooting taking place. It is a coaxial intake/exhaust, that is a direct vertical run thru the roof, approximately 8 feet.
I did note in looking at parts diagrams that the burner in mine, part #24M58, has been replaced with a different looking part #H6198, so perhaps there are issues?
