I am looking to order a couple new bandsaw blades from Lenox. Looking at a 6 hook tooth flex blade ag 1/4". The next would be a 10/14 vari tooth diemaster 2 also at 1/4" for both metal and wood. My plan would be to keep the diemaster on all the time so ready for whatever material I need to cut be wood or metal. I am also debating on going with a 3/8" blade for both instead of 1/4". No idea what radius, just looking for a good all around typical blade for most situations. Any experience would be helpful.

You mentioned wood so is this for a vertical bandsaw? If yes, is your bandsaw capable of metal cutting (has lower speeds)?

I've been using Lenox bi-metal blades for more than 10 yrs now and I like em but my bandsaw is a horizontal. I use 6/10 the most but I also use 5/8, 8/12, & 10/14. Which blade I use depends on what size metal I'm cutting. They last me a long time (home hobby use).

Yes, verticle bandsaw. Older craftsman 103, 80" blade. Its not variable speed. This is also home hobby use. I just assumed I could do metal also.
