At the Proservices counter where they did have the Irvin trade box. Simple drop one in and get a new one.

Awesome. I'll take one of the spent Harbor Freight blades I've been saving that have no teeth left on them....

Dude why doesn't Home Depot do the same. Lowe's is always doing these trade in deals, what was it a while ago that 7 1/4 inch saw blade trade in, then the Erwin trade in, now this.... HD needs to get with it they hardly have any deals like this. Shoot every time I walk into Lowe's for these deals I walk out buying something else. Its a sickness I have.

HD doesn't need to do deals like this to drive traffic. Nor do they need to heavily discount tools to make room for the import supplier, been using them for decades. Do you think these "freebies" result in any incremental sales? Your majority pro customer is using Depot anyway.

Yea you are probably right about the pros using HD more, but honestly, at least down here in south Florida most of the HD stores look and are run like ****, very disorganized. They have just about as much Import tools as Lowes.

Just dropped into my lowes. They're usually pretty good on these promotions. No trade in display anywhere. Usually they're at the pro contractors entrance. Could the OP's lowes have put up their display early?

Cheap Anything Milwaukee is an oxymoron :lol_hitti

used blades? only new blades? what?

I'm surprised at that response from you of all people Nine. Figured you had a drawer or 3 full of $5 milwaukee stuff :lol_hitti

Then you'd hate to see my 1/4" VS corded hole shooter that I got for $1 at a garage sale earlier this year. Or my circular saw w/ metal case that I picked up sitting by the curb, just needed a cord. Or the super old all metal 1/2" D handle drill that I got at a garage sale years ago for something <$5. I think my jigsaw was a bit more, something ~$15, but definitely <$20:thumbup:

I've wanted a porta band and a good sawzall but they seemed to have alluded me. Found a sawzall at a garage sale one day for $40 IIRC, but I was a little light on cast ATM. O well, one of these days.

I hope this includes their hacksaw blades, I really like Lenox hacksaw blades.

I do have some cheap Milwaukee purchases though, I picked up a 18ga heavy duty shear for $25 and a 1/2" Magnum for $35 but those are rare.

Talked to a Manager at one of our local Lowes. The promotion officially started October 1. Their store has received the signage, but not the product. Check your store next week...

I'm glad you asked I was walking around two Lowe's stores today and didn't see the display. Had a old Dewalt blade in my pocker, also had the pair of Kobalt pliers on me too was able to swap them for the Erwin Vise Grips.

Will be looking in on this next week..

Traded in a blade with missing teeth for the new lennox. I don't cut metal very often at the moment but let's see how this one holds up when its time.

Traded one broken blade In today. As usual the clerks were clueless. W
Display was in the middle of Tool World. Had to go to register to ring up the trade and then drop old one in box , not sure this is correct way. But things are done differently in the more urban areas. I got the second one from the display. Have to look for more bad blades.

Anybody use the new one yet and able to provide a comment/ review?

Thanks

Display sale sign said $2.49. Single blade 4 1/2 " I believe.

I've been in three Lowe's in the Denver area this week. No displays and employees at all stores said no deal.

I traded in 11 old toothless blades at my local Lowes today. I did not see any limit notice.
I am in the store all most every day and the checkers all know me. But i dont know if that made any difference or not. The checker did have to ring the blades up one at a time and give me 11 receipts.

I traded in an old worn out Milwaukee blade today and it was the first one out of the display. I was talking to the guy at the customer service desk and he said they just received another trade in display for the Irwin circular saw blades. So that should be out soon for those that missed out on the last one.

Wonder when the circular saw blade promo starts?
