Just a humble little 30' W. x 24' D. with 8 ft. high doors I had built about 15 years ago. Broken into once, you might notice the bars on the window I made afterward. One of the pics is older, & I have since insulated & drywalled, & moved things around a bit. Definitely a working garage, not
a show garage. It only takes about 3 days of work to totally clutter up the place unless I stay on top of cleaning!

Thanks I built the crane kind of based on one I saw in a magazine I used to subscribe to. It's 8 ft. wide & will raise up to 12ft. or so I can't remember right off hand. I bought the winch for it at Harbor freight for like 79.00 or so it's supposed to lift 880 lbs with the line doubled. I've had 700 + on it when I picked up an old 10x18 Johnson horizontal bandsaw. I can't remember how long it's been since I built it but i'm having a little trouble with the winch it seems to need re-setting or something you have to unplug it & then plug it back in for it to work sometimes so i'm not very satisfied with that but you get what you pay for I guess. The crane has been a real back saver though I think every shop should have one.

I had a electric chain hoist with a trolley in a c rail that went across a full bay in my commercial shop. It was so nice and a real backsaver

Now at home things are a bit simpler, see the indide video below

That is going to be a 6 wheel drive amphibious ATV if I ever get it done. I have other pics but what you see is the metal frame on top of a wood frame that I mocked up first. It has a VW type 3 engine & an automatic trans sitting on top of it. The trans also has a custom differential in it similar to a detroit true trac, it's probably the only one in existance except for a second one the guy made that is probably still sitting on the shelf. I have quite a bit in it & it's a long way from being done, & it may not ever get done.
