I picked up a stainless steel dentist chair for 15 bones yesterday. Works well for soldering and how I have my box setup.

Lets see your custom made or different style chair.

I have a Lay-Z-Boy recliner in my shop. Not much work gets done out there since that showed up...more beer drinking than anything!

Trash picked this oak dining chair on the way to work one morning. The seat was split and it has three holes drilled through it but, for a roll-a-round welding chair, it works very well.

Built the base out of 1" angle and plywood. Added tool holders and a Tig torch holder and it has a cut down filler rod tube for staging filler rod while welding.

Here`s franken chair and it`s actually very comfortable.

Really cool design, but I'd fold that like a letter if I sat my fat a$$ on it.

Been looking at getting an old Toledo stool (or even similar style), but they want goofy money for them. The "vintage industrial" enthusiasts think they are cool which in turn raises the prices.

Parts from three chairs, and a donut spare

Tall gas cylinder from one
This chair was uncomfortable, but liked the height of it
Free

Seat and and adjustment mechanism, has six different adjustments
This chair had a bad gas cylinder but was very comfortable
Free

All metal base that had five good casters from another
This chair was uncomfortable and ugly
$1 paid that for the base and casters

Finally decent use for that poor excuse of a spare tire
Spare donut

Just picked this one up at Goodwill today for $6. If I waited 'til Wed. I could have gotten 50% off and used my Law Enforcement badge to get an additional 15% off, but I wasn't willing to take the gamble it would still be there.

I had a frankenchair that was built out of a bucket seat from a 86 Mustang GT but it disappeared somewhere and I have no clue how I lost a friggin roll around chair that size. Honestly I think my wife hated it so much that she hauled it off when I was out of town working a few years ago.

Now I just have 5 gallon buckets to sit on.

I don't have a pic of it but a buddy of mine has an old office chair with the backrest removed and duct tape over the rips in the cusion. The thing is damn comfy and easy to wheel around the shop. Keep telling him its gonna dissapear one day lol.
