Turned up these 311A Vacuum Grip Pliers in an estate sale stop after work yesterday. Curious to understand the purpose of this tool.

Here are a couple fairly early Snap-On tools. I picked up the No. 3 T-Handle at a nearby junk shop last week for a couple bucks. Too rusty to see the engraving which is stamped very lightly but a couple days in evaporust kind of cleaned it up. Still haven't got the handle to spin yet. The No. 6 extension came in an old box picked up at a swap meet. Ed.

Some ecclectic flea finds from yesterday. F4A looks to be marked 1941, but the F4D is pitted enough I don’t find a date.
Couple views if the AC1818. IMG_9154.jpegIMG_9153.jpeg

Kind of a problem ratchet. Design was changed due to problems with spring and pawl. Fairly rare.

Well I guess I'll be the first to post a pic then!

This is a 1921-1922 speeder. Notice that the retaining method from keeping the drive end from sliding into the socket is 4 pinches in the metal. By 1923 this was replaced with 2 steel balls. The earliest tools (1920) had only 2 pinches.

The socket is a 3/8 square "strike over" socket, which is the earliest snap on marking for sockets, which was used until about 1923-24.

If you're referring to the photo you posted in the previous post, it's a 9/32-inch drive ratchet. This was one of a few midget drive sizes that preceded the adoption of the 1/4-inch drive size, in the 30s, and persisted through the 50s, favored by the aviation industry, after 1/4-inch drive became the standard. Snap-on, Plomb (WF series), and others supplied them.

Couple of odd 7/8 drive pieces, an unmarked 2 3/8 socket and an extension stamped with 3 sevens. Snapon? 20230621_073641.jpg

How did you repair the handle did you find something similar? Mine has fallen apart also
I replaced mine with one that had an intact handle. It is possible to find a similar handle to insert the shaft in as well.
Here is the replacement spinner with an intact handle IMG_4186.jpeg
Here is the original shaft with a substitute handle.IMG_4185.jpeg

i primarily collect snap on but i have a thing for these style ratchets in this picture i have 2 types of husky 4 types of mtf 1 bonney and the rest are snap on. wondering what else i should add besides finishing the series of mtf and husky. i have already gone down that road with the no7s and ended up with about 40 without exact doubles so im probably not doing that again
