Can we assume anything with a script logo is considered vintage? In that case I have tons. Here’s a few I like that I snapped some photos of.

I have this SW-240 3/4" 12pt 1/2" drive socket with a 1941 date code. Nothing unusual about that. However the socket is also marked with "-2250-" where the diameter increases. The numbers are 1/8" high and have been machine applied rather than hand stamped or engraved. What is the significance of those numbers?

I found a 3/8” drive speeder at a Tahoe estate sale this morning. Here it is after a cursory cleaning. IMG_2760.jpegIMG_2759.jpegIMG_2758.jpeg
Turns out I already had a newer one in my user toolbox. One will be traveling to the Bay Area at the end of the season. IMG_2761.jpeg

I got this today at a swap meet in Pahrump, NV. Definitely the oldest metric Snap-on socket I've ever seen. Appears to have a 1943 date code.

I have the same bookshelf for my records as well. I’m curious, what are the ones with the black and red spines that you have several of?

quick stop at a shady flea produced these. Not normally a Snap-On guy but at the right price.....Anyway pretty nice tappets, another Air Corps marked 9/32 tool, and this socket was a freebie throw in...kinda looks like an overstrike without the "O" and was it pinned to something at one point?

Cool socket. I'm not seeing the 1943 "3" thou?
Oops, I misread the chart. I think it’s actually 1944. It has a faint “E”.

That shelf was actually custom-made by my dad who is a cabinetmaker. The black and red spines are original jazz LPs from the Impulse! label.

Not a 71 (FN720), but seems to be in the same family. Now, I have to find a FN720A.

I just got this. It was an eBay auction with three other ratchets. I was the only bidder. $10 plus $10 shipping. Anyone have any idea of the year for this? I don’t see any date stamp. The SO logo is worn down quite a bit, too. It works, though. I’m going to open it up and grease it. Maybe try and clean it up. I posted pics of the other three ratchets just to show. The Craftsman is locked up and has a broken reverse lever. I’ll post it in a Craftsman thread. For $20 I’m happy with the purchase.

Three different 1929 Twelve Point 7/16 Ferret sockets. Enough to drive the variation collectors mad.
Yep big problem for me ha technically the same as the left one but the snap-on marking being slightly thinner drives me nuts

Looks like Boxocket S-9592, Chevrolet Starter and Water Pump Wrench, 1939.

"(F)or servicing the starter on late models. Makes it easy to clear obstructions and handle the job quickly."
What size are the openings, it has a 32 date code. The model number that starts with a X , what are the two numbers after the X

The only number I can see is the 3/4 preceding "Box . . . " and that rules out being the Chevy tool. There's the patent number on the other side (1424069) and a symbol I saw as the Date Code. My old eyes refuse to see more.

Weird mine has no patent.
3/4 should be x24

the pat number is usually on early 30s models, The X-** models were often used to make different Sxxxx models at the factory, most times have both model numbers on them.
So this one must be 20s ? Ill have to clean it up a bit more and see if i can find a date code. Got a few other oddballs recently that i still need to get figured out. Like a c16 i think it is super thing single open end. Pretty unique
