Well, since I only just added one (finally) and didn't change it...

What's that saying about the frequency of your underwear changes... :dunno:

I don't collect combination wrenches, just wanted to say I was impressed, particularly with the pegboard Plomb collections, and to tease d42jeep and User Name Already In Use that they change avatars more often than I change my underwear.

So here is one of multiple sets I will be posting as I take the pictures. This is the previously mentioned Bonney 237xx set I am working on. I have 1/2 through 13/16, with the 11/16 arriving yesterday from ebay. The 9/16 was the first one, but it was VERY crusty, and I got a little carried away with the belt sander while cleaning it up before realizing it was supposed to have a rough finish. Need to rough it up a little (sandblaster?) to make it fit in. Got the 1/2 and 5/8 from Epsteins, and found the 3/4 and 13/16 this past weekend at Carlisle for $4 each. Not sure how hard I will work to finish this set, but finding the 3/8 and 7/16 would be nice.

I posted part of this set in a vintage Craftsman rack a few days ago. Here's the entire set. Again, it has an unusual manufacturer's mark (V=), and different raised panel "Craftsman" stamps. The 1" and 15/16" wrenches both feature a flat top "A" while all the other wrenches have a pointed "A" suggesting that perhaps the wrenches were manufactured right around the time when "A's" were changing from pointed to flat. The set does not include a 13/16" size. For some reason, the 13/16" seems like a tough wrench to find with the =V= stamp. It may be nearly impossible to find one with a V=.

Jim C. (Sorry I keep posting pics upside down and sideways. Not sure why but I'll eventually figure it out.)

Nice Plombs, SilverDeck. I've never seen a set that clean!
If you cleaned them, what did you use?

No real cleaning on the other than a little mineral spirits and a gently hand wire brush if needed to remove and caked on grease and crud. They only reason why they look pretty clean was that I tried to be selective about what I bought when I assembled the set one piece at a time mostly through eBay. Tried to only buy pieces with no major issues (or owner's marks).

Silver Deck: i gave up my pegboard for hanging tools in most of my small garage now cause of shelving and cabinets, but the way your Plvmb pebble wrenches look up there I might reconsider hanging a few of mine cause that looks like a masterpiece. WELL DONE and are they your daily users too?

I have a small garage as well, but the silver painted pegboard was already up when we bought the house so I decided to put my bench in that corner of the garage and make it work. The Plombs are my primary user set of wrenches and having them on the wall makes it easy to grab one when needed. One of the things that attracted me to Plomb pebbles was industrial design and appearance of the tools so hanging them up like that where I can enjoy them everyday just makes me smile. :D:D:D

It looks like there was no consistency as to which way the Bon-E-Con wrenches were stamped

Yup, they're all over the place. I've been tearing my shop apart this morning trying to locate the most horrific wrench find I've ever made, but I can't find it.............Bonney, made in Taiwan.......

Well, thanks to this thread, I've been bringing home more combos. Here's the haul from Saturday.
SK, Fairmount, Snap-on DuroChrome, Easco, Bluegrass, New Britain, and Bonney.

Oh, and this empty Wright combo pouch. I searched and searched, but couldn't find any of the wrenches. They look like a long pattern? :dunno: Set #907. 3/8" to 3/4"

Sam, is the reverse of the depressed panel "Forged in U.S.A." blank? I have a 3/8, 5/8 and 3/4 like that and was wondering if anybody knew the maker? Shank is tapered from the box end to the open end and seems to have a "slightly" better, more sanded and smoother finish than other similar looking wrenches.

Can you give us a closer look at the shank just under the box end of the lower wrench in the second pic? I think I see forged in codes? Pretty sure they are JPD codes.

Posted these in the Monkey Wards thread as I am looking for a 9/16 to complete this set.
Picked them up last sat for $10. POWER KRAFT 100 combo.
Didnt need them but my 1/2 sockets are Speed Master with the MW logo, so these came home with me.

Twertsy, I looked closely with a magnifier and there were no codes anywhere on the wrenches. I am not sure about JPD as the size lettering is not in the normal JPD angle and nothing in AA indicates their use of the "forged in usa" stamping.

I have that box, but it's empty. Anyone needs it, make an offer by PM. Been looking to fill it, but have not seen a single underline combo other than eBay. There's a full box on there now, looks like the box is missing the slotted holder, or else it's just detached. And the asking price is higher than I'm willing to consider. https://www.ebay.com/itm/182312307091

Barcalo, Indestro (and a sneaky Duro), Bonney, Snap-on (Blue point, Par-X).
The Bonneys include two Zenels, a couple TuHeX, a couple Bonaloy, a couple full polish. Most of the SAE is Streamline, and most of the metric is Outline.

Nice group of wrenches. Quite a variety. Do you happen to know anyone who collects Thorsen? Here is my Belzer metric wrench set that I've had since the 70s.

:headscrat Hmmm, lemme think... You know, I do know someone. haha. I picked up a Thorsen DBE for you last weekend, Don. I'll get a box out to you soon.

Here's a few combos that I picked up last weekend. I posed an empty Wright combo roll up a few pages back, well... found a wrench for it on Saturday. Only six left to find! :3gears:
Wright, Penens, SK. Not sure of the vintage the SK, but it looks to be unplated.

Already posted these in the Bonney thread, but just in case thought I would add them here as well. Bonney metric 6 point, long pattern.
