I'm looking to see how you've configured your bench grinder and wire wheels.

I'm not sure if I want a Stone/Wire on a 8" grinder or Stone/Stone on a 8" and Wire/Wire on a 6" grinder I have already.:shocking:

Just to throw more confusion out there, my setup is 8" grinder with buffing wheel on one side and wire wheel on the other, I swap out a fine buffing wheel for a coarse sisal wheel for rough stuff, then a 6" Wissota bench grinder with a carborundum stone on one side and two back-to-back diamond lapping discs (80 grit, 120 grit) on the other side side for sharpening tungsten electrodes, and then a 5" Powr-Kraft grinder with coarse and fine aluminum oxide stones for sharpening lathe tools.

One can never have too many grinders. Ideally one more for dedicated buffing, no swapping required, one dedicated 8" with coarse and fine wire wheel, and then the other two just for grinding.

Nice, thanks for the input. All i have is a [terrible] Harbor Freight 8" at the moment. I'll upgrade it once I can get a deal on something that doesn't bog by just looking at it!

You may want to ask the mods to move this out of the Garage Gallery into Free Parking or into the General tool Discussion forums for more exposure.
