I have a few Vulcan boxend wrenches given to me from my Father-in-law. I have always liked the look of them.

If you like Vulcan, you would also like JH Williams. Vulcan was their attempt to enter the mobile tool truck business. Not sure how long it lasted, but it wasn't very long.

Ok as I promised here is what I have. Thought I had more?


These sockets I got for a song on ebay. 1/2 drive metric 12pt. 10mm - 35mm. Only missing three 22, 24, and 27.


The Vulcan wrench I got from a Diesel mechanic's yard sale. Cost me $20

Picked up this dual marked Vulcan/Williams metric (M1023T - 8mm x 11mm) DOE today.

Vulcan is actually one of Williams original brand names dating back to the late 1890's. Used mainly on forgings like handles, hoists, hooks, eye bolts, chain, chain pipe vises, and tongs. They resurrected it for the truck line venture.

Did you roll that Vulcan box home, Lugz? I uncovered this Vulcan middle unpictured sitting beneath an old Snap-On 10 Drawer Top Chest I'm considering. Guy said he'd throw the Vulcan in for free. I see very little of the Vulcan around. Probably very few collectors too.....

I did not. I just don't regularly see enough Vulcan tools in the wild to fill it up.

A no 3 pipe yoke vise and a no 33 chain wrench they are both for up to 6 inch pipe.

Here is a ball pein hammer marked True Temper Vulcan.

^ out of all of the other "Vulcans", that's the first hammer I've seen. True Temper was a brand of American Fork & Hoe.
begs the question of whether or not they tried to trademark the name.
