I started the other thread but admittedly didn't get all the way thru it.

I saw a drawer of strictly ratchets. Personally I set my drawers up for 1/4" drive, 3/8" drive and 1/2" drive. I really like it that way. I keep all the ractchets, drivers and sockets of a particular size in their respective drawers. But my 1/2" drive drawer in particular is getting rather full. Wider rollaways would help, or I might just move my impact sockets to a different drawer.

I also prefer to hang my combo wrenches on the wall. I recognize this wouldn't work in a larger shop as you'd be walking back and forth too much, but for smaller shops I really like it. They're easy to access (hanging at chest to head level), easy to see if one's missing, easy to put away, and don't take up a drawer or more in the boxes.

I thought, "Why so many ratchets, and why all in the same drawer?" because I also like to keep tools that go together in one spot. I seriously don't understand the need for so many ratchets. My "roto" ratchets have always done everything I've needed them to do.

Similar to your organization by drive size, I went with a Metric Drawer and Standard - because I don't have that many:

Just picked up some cheap ratchets for the seldom used stuff:
