LOVE that '52 Dodge - want a miliary vehicle in the worst way!!

Mines a little older, but would've been in its prime in '50!! Rare Canadian Mercury model.

In the 50s, the flathead V8 was removed from this one.
I talked to a guy who drove it in 1968 when it had a 442 motor.
I've been driving it for 16 years and its on its 3rd engine for me.
Its an ugly beat up truck but it works good.

Just found this thread. Can I play?

It's not a 50's era, it's a '46 (has a '41 cab, not that there is a lot of difference). Sold my old Porsche 911 after finishing it. It has a 350/350, Jag rearend, four wheel power discs and power steering. Just had it professionally rewired, bought all new windlacing, window channel, door bumpers. All fluids, filters, belts and hoses are due for change out over the upcoming long weekend.

The more I see these old trucks, the more I'm leaning towards doing one instead of a 60's muscle car as my first "project" car. They seem to ooze so much more style and originality.

3798j, I WANT your 55 Ford.
I was born the same year it was, and it is in better shape than I am.
That is a beautiful resto-upgrade, and exactly what I hope to someday have.
That was the perfect way to begin this thread.

That truck will forever turn more heads than the 911 ever did!!

Here is my 51, which is my main summer daily driver. It has a 261 bored .030, a GM 89mm ****** (overdrive), Ford 9" rear with 3.50 gears. I have disc brakes on all four corners. When the shop gets built, this will be one of the first projects, assuming I have ANY money left.

Thanks e. The truck does get some looks, but so did the 911. It wasn't a classic cause it was a Mid Year impact bumper car but it did get its share of attention from older women. I think it was the color.

e-tek, Just checked out your link. You're a lucky man. If your wife is a great mother, a supporter of your dreams with the racing and the garage work, then she's hotter inside than she is outside....and she' a BEAUTIFUL woman on the outside.

P.S. I love the close set headlights on the Merc. Kinda makes it look a little cross eyed, in a good way. Kinda like a cartoony character out of CARS the movie.

CaliNapco,,I'm looking for a crew-cab for my 1959 Chev 3800 (1 Ton) pickup. You wouldn't happen to know of any hanging around, would you?

Pics of mine:

Steevo, Thanks for the kind complement. By the way, I know what you mean shape wise. I'm a 1950 model an it's my Doc's opinion that I could use some new parts.
