Hey fellas, haven't posted much, but any who i'm 20 yrs old from Wisco. I'm currently going to school for avionics and A and P, seems like i'm the only one that's picky about tool storage. Everyone just pitches their tools into an unorganized abyss. so just wanted to see the extremes of organization. so lets see them!
Here's my KRA-2422 and assorted tools within

nice and neat but if you're gonna stick to A&P, you better get some foam and start shadowing all your drawers

^ This, do not go for the snap on foam it is very expensive check around. This is what we used when I was the CTK NCIOC in the Air Force. The numbers may have changed but call MSC they can tell you what they are now. These were 4'x8' sheets. You may also wish to create an inventory sheet I do not know civilian non military air craft mechanics rules but some of our contractors were required to do so.

Blue Foam w/PSA 4 Sheets 04675666 MSC
Yellow Foam 4 Sheets 84538388 MSC

Perhaps get a mod to move this discussion to the ongoing thread already created for this type of post.

I love that tool box! What color is that? Looks stainless.

Kiazan foam (spelling?) Is fantastic stuff, I have also used custom made CNC cut foam, I love those results and I have had this for for 4-5 years. Here are just a few samples. I have nearly 20 drawers done with foam. I do not lose tools and I can find what I need every time in seconds. I still like Snap On trays I always keep them stored if not being used. They are always cracked though

That's beautiful, everything is so clean and no gaudy wheel centers. Not a fan of black drawer liners though. There is a massive show your tool box thread that has many a pages on organized and not so organized tool boxes.
