hey garage journal i wanted to start a show off your tool box video thread, i enjoy the lets see your tool box thread but would like to hear some of you guy's talk about some of your stuff. stuff that is totally awsome or a life saver on a specific job.

any way's here's my tool box tour video, only been a tech for 2 years now and everything you see in the video has been purchased in the last two years. anyway's sorry about the cursing it was pretty weird for me to shoot the video and you will see i call some things by the wrong names because i was trying to get through it in a timely manner, also lights shut off before i got to the bottom drawer of the tool box so if you guy's are interested in what i hide down there or want to see a video of the home box that i'm thinking about making let me know.

one last thing i wanted to say a shout out to mechanic named john in the video but i forgot, watching his tool box's tours were one of the insperations to start this thread due to how detailed he was about explaining his tools and letting you know if a tool was anygood or not.

POST A VIDEO OF YOUR TOOLBOX HERE !!!

I work on a little of everything, I work at a gas station with a five Bay garage that is right in the middle of downtown thomasville Georgia (kinda in the middle of nowhere) so I see tractors to weed-eaters to 2015 Benz head jobs to 1950s chevy truck brake conversions to just about anything that walks in the door.

The pump sprayers look like Wurth. Got a make/ model on them? They look handy.

Pretty awesome setup Chad and I like the green. The console and the step stool turned into an over head shelf and light bar is a great idea too.

I didn't quite figure out your electrolysis bucket though, are you plugging in direct to 110 or are you running it off a 12v battery?

And, try holding you phone in the same orientation as every computer screen on earth. Why people shoot video with their phone in the up/down orientation, instead of sideways beyond me. Since the beginning of time video screens of all types, t.v's, computer screens, movie theater screens, etc, etc have all been in landscape mode. Some people just cant figure this out I guess.... Lololol

You got enough boxes bud? Lol.

Well, that depends. I collect old tools so, they need homes. The S-K stack is full of old S-K, the Proto is full of Proto/Plomb, Snappy boxes have snappy tools. I have a Bonney box on the way from NY which will hold what? Why Bonney tools of course, just need the unicorn-like Bonney roll cart now.

That all said, I've no plan to stop collecting tools, and therefore boxes as well.

This is 100% GJ's fault, all because I googled "Walker Transmission Jack Repair." Sad part is, I haven't restored that old jack yet!

I was just making a suggestion....

I honestly enjoyed your video. The content was very good, especially for tool junkies like us here st GJ. The only part not so great was watch the entire thing on less than 1/3 of my screen.

Thank you, the little radio shack box converts 110 to 12v but I actually just built a bigger version that is currently operational, here's what it looks like.

This is the front, the wire runs all the way around the box and is attached to pieces of re-bar on the inside.

This is the back where you can see the ground cable hooked to the re-bar links.

This is the top view where you can see the positive hooked up to the object, the machine will eat through the clamp so it's good to use one that you don't care about.

And this is a better view of the inside and re-bar.

It is a 1995 Surf Green Golf Sport, I am like 9 months into this build which has snowballed into a full restore... Shaved the bay, doing a 1.8L 20v Turbo set up for approx 350hp, right hand drive swapped, building a cage, Audi TT gas door, Audi A4 door handles, shaved a ton of things, doing new sills/rocker panels which will be smoothed and likely extended, air suspension etc. It's never-ending. Everything, including paint, is being done at home in my garage with a few close friends helping out and a lot of pizza, Chinese food, burritos and root beer.

I haven't done another full tour (which I need to just haven't had the time) but here are some pretty cool organizational ideas I did.

Finally made a new one, a bit longer, but better quality

Like the smell my face sticker. A friend of mine got a speed camera ticket with one of those & sent it to the radio show it's from. Got a free tee shirt. The rest is impressive btw.
