Let see you cordless impact wrenches - I'll start, this is my home stash, at work I have Milwaukee M12 and Bosch 18 volts. Just picked up the Snap On CT4410 this past Friday, IMO it seems more powerful than the Matco, even though the Matco's specs higher loosening torque.

How much do you guys with the larger impacts like them? My main interest would be for car work. How much do you find yourself using them instead of your pneumatic impacts?

I have a smaller one with the 1/4" socket. I use it allot for smaller fasters like interior work.

I use my 1/2" Snapon all day, every day. Hardly ever grab the pneumatic (also SO). I had a 3/8" Snapon for a week while the dealer let me demo it, but I couldn't justify the price at the time. Now...I think I might. Also interested in their fairly new 1/4" 7.2 volt to match my 1/4" screw gun.

Also, had an IR lithium Ion for a while and loved it too. Just not quite as strong as the SO

Damn, you guys are ********. I just have a DeWalt 20v 1/4" hex impact, a Husky 1/2" impact (all I could afford a few years ago and has served me well, although it's rather underpowered), and an AirCat 1600. I ran an M12 impact for years, and love it. The DeWalt 20v is actually shorter than the M12 impact by a bit.

These are my most used cordless tools in my job. All Ingersoll Rand IQV. Lithium ion are great,Ni-Cad are not as good, but they works well, the tools are heavy duty and high performance, I really like them. The 7.2 volt impact driver is the most used in my job, since I mostly work in interior jobs (Aftermarket products)I also have IR pneumatic guns for heavy jobs and Snap on, Milwaukee and DeWalt for my garage and Portable tool cases.

i don't have any pics up right now, but i'll get a few. my collection consists of the matco 12v 1/4 in lithium impact wrench (the square drive one that puts out around 60 ft-lbs), the matco 12v lithium impact driver (puts out around 60 in-lbs i think), and the matco 14.4v lithium 3/8 drive impact. all from the infinium line. now, i for the whole 1/4 in drive set a couple months ago when they had the set for $500. and it has been indespensible. HOWEVER, i just got the 3/8 impact not too long ago. bought it used off the snap-on truck, got the battery and charger too. wanna know what i paid for it?

$75

also my friend has the 10.8v lithium 1/4 in cordless ratchet from the infinium line as well. i originally wasn't a believer in such things, but as they say, don't knock it till ya try it. now i'll be buying the 12v version of it here soon.

The Matco 1/2" is superior to the Snap On, but the Snap on 3/8" is more powerful than the Matco, even though Matco lists it as having 5 more ft.lbs. of torque. The Matco 1/4" impacts are my favorite, I've used another guys Snap on 7.2V, and the Matco was more powerful. Here is an updated photo, I had to get the SO 1/2" in Green and another Matco 1/4" because the new 12 volt models are larger (longer).

Damn rotated photos...

No pictures, sorry. But I do have a 1/2 drive milwaukee cordless impact wrench, can`t say enough good things about it, good power, great battery life. Use it for changing tires on our bobcats, working on heavy machery. Unless I need 3/4 drive or 1 in impact power I leave the air alone. Haven`t tried the IR or Snap-on but for what i paid for the Milwaukee its a great bargin too.

Does that Hitachi take the post style battery or the slide in type?

I have Hitachi 18V lithium ion drill and impract driver. Would love to add the 1/2" impact but don't want to add a new battery system at this point.

Eh i only have a cman 1/2in and impact driver. Honestly, my 3/8 mac air impact is way more compact then both and has more power then both. Somties i think people buy stuff just to buy stuff and show off all the money they make and spent....money is more important to me then to have anything more then 1. Even at that I hardley use it. Mine have the post style batteries, not the slide on. I love the Hitachi's, super small loosening torque of 350 ft. lbs. and tightening of 160 ft. lbs. or so.

Understood, for me I have multiples due to needing at work and at home, and some I keep in my truck. I too like my air powered impacts better than my cordless, but many of times I do not have compressed air available, like in the middle of field or a 300,000 sq.ft. warehouse.

How well does Bosch's 18V units fair?

I ask, as I already have 18V Bosch, so would like to share the batteries if at all possible.

TIA. :)

The Bosch is up there. I would rank it slightly above the Milwaukee gun, but a hair lower than the older Snap On CT6855. It's a great gun.

The battery boots on the CT7850 has to be lifted for the battery to fit properly in the charger

Still trying to figure out why some of you guys have 4 or more 1/2 cordless guns :headscrat

In any case, here is a blurry pic of my Matco 3/8 and 1/2 in their habitat

Snap on 4850 HO (don't work on much heavy enough to need this one)

Snap on 4410 (use it constantly)

Dewalt 1/4" (makes quick work to get a bunch of bolts out after they're loose, or small to begin with)

I'm not sure how I got anything done without them. Pics later :)

You should remember that cordless cause spark so around fuel vapors they are not ideal. That is why the pit-crew use air powered wheel guns
Just food for tought.

What are those grey things at the bottom of the grips on the Hitachi guns?

Those are belt hooks / lights, you can pull the spring loaded hook away from the tool and then rotate it to the desired position to direct the light where you want it. To turn the light on or off you press a button on the belt hook.

I traded my beat-to-death infinium 1/2 for a brand new ingersoll w7150... love it but had to get it warranteed after only 2 MONTHS (either trigger or fwd/rev switch going out intermittently, get it back from the Cornwell guy Fri...) so that kinda worries me... I used it extensively w torque sticks. Could this be related to the premature failure? I don't really abuse my tools but they are seeing pro use daily in the shop... I also own the Makita 12v 1/4 impact driver that I got for a song and use constantly, love it, and the Matco 14.4 3/8. Maybe i just expect too much from it but should that thing be able to remove caliper mounting bracket bolts? If so great gotta deal w POS matco dealer to get warranteed, if not, does anyone recommend a cordless li-ion that WILL remove some more stubborn bolts ex. caliper mounting bracket/"saddle" bolts, etc. My Cornwell dealer said that was an unrealistic expectation, wanted a second opinion. i will post pics when i figure out how to do so
