I am about to built one for my self.

I was going to go with the standard 30" cart but I am leaning towards a 41" which will give me more drawer space.

There's a Facebook group that's pretty good for ideas.

I have all the typical items so far. Amp clamps, Test leads, Mini scope, Scan tool, Test/Load lights, Circuit breakers, Aeswave terminal kit, Battery tester, Battery charger, Soldering items etc

These items are in my main tool box but I wanted to create a moveable station and add computer and 27" monitor with a boom.

very nice set up. thank you for sharing.

What I am noticing is most of carts guys use are 30". Which they then add side tray 12" so we have about 42" total.

I am going to go with a 41" cart since my thinking is that if I am going to be 42" with a 30" and 12" might as well have one with the extra drawers.

With a full 41" flat area I have space for keyboard but also note pad etc.

How to you like that decade box?
Do you find you are using it often?

I have seen that version re branded a few times when searching and just want to get your thoughts on it.
I use it to filter noise. I would bet they're all the same (or pretty darn close) brand wise. Never had spares to compare though.

I use it when a signal has an abnormality. So not too frequent. I would not want to be without one though.

If I had to repurchase I would try the cheaper ones.

Personally I don't think I'd want a 41 inch diag cart. Too big in my opinion....it's nice to have a smaller car that you can easily maneuver around. It's not like you need every single diag tool on the cart anyway. Guess it depends how you plan to use it though.

Mine is a 30 or so inch cart with a flip up area. Plenty of room on the top for the monitor, keyboard and mouse if I need those or laptop and programming tool, oscope, scan tool, etc that you would be screwing around with on the top of the cart. Drawers are full of scanners, programming tools, scope, leads, clamps, thermal imager, bore scope etc. I dont keep meters, test lights, pressure gauges, wire crimping/soldering supplies and some of that stuff in that cart....they have their own places in either their own cart, my main tool box, or somewhere around the shop.

I understand the need for 30" if your at a shop and moving cart/box all over I 100% get what you mean.

In my case this is for my personal shop.

My main goal was to create a computer station. But then I was thinking if it was on wheels I can also make it into my diagnose type of work station. Again since it's not going to be moved around daily more so weekly I think the 41" would be fine.
Plus I do like the idea of moving all my electrical diagnose type of items in to that box which will free up space in my main boxes for more general tools.

I would not use cart for pressure tester, smoke machine etc those would take up too much space. But I would like to to keep scanners, DVOM, Load testers, scope test leads, thermal, bore scope etc in it.

Post a picture of your set up I like to see it (y)
