Looking for ideas on the 2 piece garage bathroom. Below is a pic of my planned bathroom in the 6x6 orange painted box.

The bathroom will be under some stairs that goes up to the loft. I figured it would be a great space for that due to the sloped ceiling. Besides, it would be nice not to have run in the house when your up to your armpits in grease.:)

I didn't want to loose any work/storage space in my shop, so I plumbed a sink next to my parts washer area and a urinal (home made with a funnel and some PVC pipe:thumbup:) that drains between the shop and fence!:shocking:

Wouldn't it be easier to just pee in the sink? I don't think the PVC would be up to code here.

Ok here's mine...... Laundry sink, sh___er, washer, dryer. Put 12 gl water heater in. It's enough to do a load of laundry. I work with chemicals at work so all work clothes are suppose to be washed separately of the families. Also we had a spare set when I built it, so why not put them in there. If I didn't have the spare washer and dryer sitting around probably wouldn't have made it that big, but......

I love it, wouldn't do without. We have lots of parties out here, no reason for anyone to go into the house. (It gives me an excuse to clean it every once in a while) lol !!

Make sure you have enough headroom(I know poor choice of words, insert joke here)for a bathroom under the stairs,if the inspector is picky,it may not be allowed!I have heard of them being refused in that location.

In a effort to save space I used a small vanity basin. Big mistake. A shop needs a real sink. You can wash your hands in a utility sink. But you can't wash much more than your hands in a bathroom sink.

No matter how much space you have it is never enough. So including a place to "relax" is not going to make much difference space wise and it will add a lot of utility.

D Krager, functional bathroom, just the way it should be. Interesting choice of wallpaper in there, herbicide labels?

Yea herbicide labels.... We repac chemicals from bulk into mini bulk tanks at work. These were old products that I couldn't use the labels from anymore. (It was easier than painting another coat) Also gives you some reading material..... not real interesting though.

Not mine, but the bathroom of a garage that I came across... (I am still gathering ideas for when I get around to building my garage).

Yeah, I had a friend who put his RR under a stairwell.... he had plenty of room but miss-calculated the location of the stool.... so you had to "girl" pee (sit down) or do the Limba pee..... with a arc! So be aware of the "head" room!

If that is in the garage, I want to see the rest of the house. Definately not a place to work on a motor or wash greasy hands!!
