This is my buddy, he's been with us for 11 years. He comes from the greek island Crete, where he was abandoned as a tiny pup. I don't understand how anyone could do such a thing. I hope he's forgotten it by now.
We've had much fun through the years, one knee surgery, two displaced discs, of which one needed surgery that cost us all our savings at the time, one brain-seizure-kinda-thing which the special dog neurologist I had to go to couldn't figure out. Anyway, he's fine, but getting a bit slow of age and is very sleepy all day.

Slowly but surely, Olly has become ball crazy.

Faych would chase a ball occasionally, but he was always scent and food motivated, a ball was a distraction. My first cocker Hafey was 1000% ball crazy though, it didn't matter where the ball went, he was going after it.

Circa mid 1980's retrieving his ball from the river -

Circa late 1980's and a toddler DFB, notice his eyes locked on the prize.

He’s just keeping an eye on you. You might be providing in flight snacks.
That's true. I am in charge of any in flight snacks.
Are you complaining your dog worships you?
He's not looking at me. His eye is on the road ahead. He's very aware of when we are getting close to home & is prone to do this for the last couple of miles. Most of the ride he's either laying down or watching out the side window.

Our other dog Astrid is "The Tailgunner". She always stays at the back window & watches behind. And barks at whoever or whatever she feels needs to be barked at.

Mr. Olly had his first haircut today.

I really didn't want to get rid of his flowing "feathers", but he WILL NOT allow me get a brush anywhere near him, and he had become quite knotted. Not ideal, but it is what it is.

I'm surprised how small he looks without all the fur. Today was also the longest we'd been apart since he came home in my arms.

Afternoon walk on a lovely sunny winter day.

After 2.5-inchs of heavy rainfall last Sunday/Monday, the rivers have broken banks for the second time this winter. Most of this is being funneled down from the hills into the Broken River, then joining into the Goulbourn River and causing flooding downstream. No properties are at risk, but the surrounding bushland is getting deep drink.

The newest member of the family, Wriggly!
10 week old little girl and accurately named - she's wiggly happy all the time. She is my daughter's new pup. The 3 kids were told they could have a dog when the youngest was finally and reliably potty trained. Elder Daniel, my grandson, is 4 now so they waited a bit but got her this week. She will be a very small Boxer.IMG_5384.jpeg

Pups were groomed today. Man, it's expensive. They're both doodles so they require haircuts every time they're bathed. I bought good dog clippers and tried - a big failure. They looked like a goat chewed on them!

Fifi (5-1/2) loves everyone because she's sure EVERYone loves her!
Max (8 - 10) is occasionally a miniature terrorist ankle nipper.....if he suspects you.....of anything! Fortunately, he adores us, our grand kids and family. All others are suspect!
