USA made and lifetime warranty, I can always depend on my Leatherman when I'm in a pinch. When I don't have it on me is when I need it the most, so I've learned to never leave home without it in it's sheath on my waist.

Haha I struggled with whether to broaden to multi tools, to include such worthy brands, iconic swiss army and so on, but felt that leatherman did deserve its own attention. That said, tho, share on brother! I'm sure your Gerber is,awesome.

BOught mine as soon as I got out of bootcamp. Kept it with me all during the Marine Corps and still have it today. Saved my **** so many times whenever I needed to get something done. My buddies constantly borrowed it.

The wave is my favorite,
I currently have the charge, and it is nice but not 2x nicer than the wave

I got the wave off of amazon for $54 bucks bout 3yrs ago
I gave it to my uncle.. since I had the charge

Don't get the charge expecting much more than the wave....
It has a nicer feel if you are really clamping down on the pliers, and 1 blade with better steel... I bent the edge using it as a steak knife, I expected more

I know guys that have 20 years ez on their leathermans. I've had my wave for about 5 years. Bout two years in I broke the flat head screw driver on it...trying to pry a buddy's car door open...

The pliers are great, the wire strippers on it work excellent. Probably my favorite feature

My leathermman is the original, pliers version. Got me out of a jam a couple times. It's like a free spirit. It floats in and out of my life. It will stay put in my tool box for a spell, then go on walk about for a year or so and come back in the oddest places I would have never used it !!

I have a wave too but mine came in a leather case with a bit holder and set of screwdriver bits. Been invaluable over the years.

If you send that Wave back to Leatherman, they'll replace that screwdriver under warranty and ship the tool back to you. All it will cost you is the postage to mail the tool to them.

So true Tool Fanatic. I have had this LM Supertool since Summer of 1997 and it has served me well. The Juice C2 I received as a gift about five years ago and it stays in my pocket. Plan on buying something LM soon for the motorcycle tool bag.

The supertool! Pretty much legendary. I know a few guys with that thing 20+ years. So loose you can use em like nunchucks lol btw love the case. My only complaint is the Velcro on my case wears and no longer stays shut, the case pictured is case #2.

plus there is a cop in hunter mountain, upstate NY with my original supertool which he decided to confiscate 20 years ago when he caught me snipping off lift passes!!

Juice XE6 and a supertool I got at an estate sale but have never used (tool itself appears to have never been used!).

That's actually my second XE6, I got it through warranty a few days ago. The corkscrew on my original had become very loose. It must've been easier to send a new one than fix the old one.

It has a few differences compared to my first one. Both the straight and serrated knives are slightly shorter on the new one. The grey parts on the new one appear to be plastic instead of metal. Overall the new one feels a little lighter. Its straight edge knife locks in place better too.

I have the original. Had it for close to 20 years now. its so loose I can whip it open like a butterfly knife. I've had it into Leatherman for warranty work twice(snapped the pliers tip and snapped the screwdriver). They had it back very quickly and tightened it up for a little while.

I am lost without it, I cant speak highly enough about Leathermans

I've warrantied 3 Leatherman tools in the last, almost 30 years. The last one was a Super Tool. I walked into the Factory Store in Portland last year, showed them the tool. The Saleslady took the tool and opened and closed the pliers and asked me if I had any attachment to that tool. I said no and walked over to the counter and she handed me a new PST 300. It was the easiest warranty I've ever collected on.

IMHO, it's a fist class company.

The Leatherman Wave came standard issue with The (U.S.) Army backpack. They were zip tied to the straps.

So when the army retired over 1000 packs there were crews of men there with knives cutting them off.

In my area there were 800 donated to the Boy Scouts. And I was handed one when I reached the rank of Eagle. (1/12/12)

And here it sits now. Bolted to my center console.

A mate of mine has the skelitool, I like it but its main advantage is having it hanging directly off a belt loop. He uses it basically for the knife and for the ease of use.
The micra is a completely different tool, ive got one and upgraded to the squirt which I think is a fair bit better, they are both just a keyring type tool.. ive also got an original wave which is on the belt when camping. To be honest they are all well designed and very sturdy.

Quite honestly, it is a little fiddly to get into a working position and if my FIL had not given me the Crunch as a Christmas present many moons ago, I probably would have never bought it.

Like most Leatherman tools, they are an impromptu tool and this one is no different. If you have a need for a vice-grip type tool, then get it but I would get a Wave if spending my own money.

I work in an engineering lab environment and this is mainly my desk drawer "MacGyver" tool if I am too lazy to go get a proper tool for a one off need.

-supplemental bit extender
-file/hone (can be used in place of the wood saw when needed)
-matte black "bullet" version of the Fisher Space Pen
-Leatherman Preminum leather/nylon sheath

Have been carrying this rig daily for about five years now.

How awesome would it be if the tool could close with the bit extension attached...

In Afghanistan I unknowingly/accidently/or negligently left my supertool next to the a target I was setting up
guys were going ape **** with full auto on the target...
I go to see said target, and find my poor supertool shot

one of the plier tips was severed off, another casualty of war

I was dead set on not leaving it behind in a foreign land, it was coming back to the states!!!!
I sent it to leatherman and told them what had had happened
bout 6wks later, a new rookie leathman showed up, Didn't know a dam thing though!!!!
But I was glad to see em
