Just do a search for member mechanicnamedjohn and check out his mac box. all your dreams will be seen.

He is the one guy in America keeping Mac in the black. :bounce:

We used to have a Mac driver, he decided he didn't want to do business with us. Same for snap on. So our guys that brought from those two guys have a harder time warrantying stuff...

I asked my Mac driver and DM that was on the truck about getting a macsimizer and it was like they never have been asked about one before they had pretty much no knowledge of it, no idea what kind of deal they could make, and no selling tactic at all for me to buy one. It was like dude I want to spend money give me some prices.

I will just keep my current EPIC cause even trying to buy a bigger EPIC I was told wait till the rock n roll express comes maybe he can make me a good deal?

I like the look of the macsimizer and was told thy are revising the line soon. ????

I has been looking for other good quality tool truck box, I own a snap on krl1003 and krl1203 for few years but ran out of space for large tools, I saw a used blue macsimizer at Purdue location (west Lafayette) on Craigslist for 800 dollars. I had to text that seller, he said he had sold it to other guy. I was oh dang... But next day, the seller text me back to tell that he still has it and it is your of you are coming after work. I was so happy and grab my 2002 Dodge Ram 3500 cummins and 7x12 enclosed trailer to went there after work. It was little rain but very cold! I am glad that I has enclosed trailer as I won't let toolbox get soak outside while be on trailer! I had found out that the seller is new Matco tool dealer and he can't sell used box because of his district manager don't want him to sell a used and want him to sell new boxes only. So I did inspect it and love it as did try to make a deal, he sold it to me for 50 dollars less as not 800 dollars but 750 dollars. I took it to my work next day and had clean it and wax it before put it next by my snap on krl1203/ 1003. I am really glad that I did went to grab it and love this blue macsimizer. It has already 6 spring loaded casters on it. Normal it would be come with four casters.

what in particular do you dislike about mac tools so much?
They are cheap over priced tools, you'd be lucky if to find a dealer worth a damn who isn't getting ripped off by Mac.most tools are rebranded Stanley, proto, facom,ez red at wannabe snap on prices!better off buying sk,Williams, proto, and even blue point.some of macs sockets and ratchets are still ok and are the last made in use stuff they have, most of their stuff just feels cheep in my hand.back in they day they were worth a damn but now it feels like they are stuck in the past and the tool industry is quickly leaving them behind.just my opinion.

On the box,I had bought a cart that was a piece of ****.they would not warranty it,but the dealer told me he would give me a good discount on the box I wanted to make it worth my while so I went for it.but the box was a piece of **** too.top drawer would only open three inches and jamb up really bad, three other drawers did the same thing.they tried slides, then drawers and didn't fix it.then the district manager came in and decided to warranty the box but Mac didn't allow it and made him come back take pictures and measure a bunch of points.then they warrantied the box,but it came damaged and I was going to make a claim with the shipping company but Mac told me I would lose my warranty if I did that???so they offered me a wood top if I accepted the box as is,i countered with a stainless top and box cover, they agreed.next the stainless top came in damaged and Mac again told me do not make a claim against shipping company and they sent me a new stainless top which came undamaged.then my dealer randomly showed up and bought my cart back and zeroed my $430 account, and I never saw him again.that was two years ago, every week I would see him drive past the shop.

Now my tool box is having issues again, and ther is a dealer at the new shop I work at but he's a **** and won't touch my box because he didn't sell it to me.so now I have a box with no support except for calling Mac directly and hope they send me parts,if that was what I wanted I could of bought a proto or heck even a HF for less cash.same goes for all the thousands of dollars of tools I bought from that **** that I traded in for snap on because the tools lost support and would have had to send in for warranty, again not why I buy truck tools.

Just my experience and why I say Mac tools can go to hell.

Like mine. The old ones are quite good. When I needed a couple warrantied, Mac stepped up. Great deals on Ebay, because they aren't as well known these days.

That ***** man, I could see how that would make you bitter.

John's white and black Mac is one of the sharpest looking boxes I've seen from anyone! I wish I took care of my stuff enough to have that color combo.

Wonder what another set of casters would cost to add to my box?

When I saw the craigslist picture of that and it already had middle casters mounted which big plus for myself so I had to grab it. It was not cheap price to buy two casters. I could ask my Mac tool dealer to see how much for it. I had bought four new slides to put on two bottom drawers to double slides.

Deafautotech. I was surprised the large bottom drawers didn't have double slides already. I'll check with my local MAC dealer about adding the set of casters. I don't ever move it so not sure if I should really worry about them.
