Here are my two.
The first is a denim apron that was made for me when I was a teenager. It still gets used (when I remember to use an apron). The other is a leather one I use when heavy grinding is involved.

I have a third heavy leather one (cut off at the waist) that I used to use when I was blacksmithing. It's been in storage for years.

The denim one is about 35yrs old. I think it's time to put it in the laundry. :lol_hitti

Don't use one in the shop. Just use dickies work shirts from Walmart.

My apron is for grilling. Looks like this.

I wear the ones from Summit racing. Nice and durable yet breathable. Last quite a while as well, except for when welding. Long story.

For welding I wear the leather type apron.

I refuse to wear an apron. I witnessed a guy get caught up in a threading machine years back because of one. He leaned over, something caught his apron, and it started wrapping up and pulling him in. THe string around the neck went from a bow to a knot. He lived as someone down the aisle from him saw that something was wrong, and he pulled out his knife and got him out. But not before it gave him brain damage from lack of oxygen.

So for anyone that wears one, make sure it is tied tight at the waist, and DO NOT lean over a running machine, ever, apron or not.
