Low grade phone pic:

I have the lighting plugged into the switched 120VAC output on the garage stereo so if I have it muted & I forget, when I turn out the lights the clock light reminds me to shut the stereo down.

Recently picked up this at a yard sale for $2. Replace the cord & glass, and it works!

Amazing lil clock, dont know how old. Instead of second hand, behind the small oval opening is a wheel with alternating black /white bands that rotates-looks like a ray as it rotates. Doesnt tick it whirs...the square face kinda different

olshopclk2.jpg
Has an 24 hour alarm thats interesting to set. Theres another window in back that shows either black or white for am/pm. Clock shows month, day and day of week. Really nice scroll work on back plate.

Since I'm hear. This was my grandpas windup clock. Ive never seen another like it.
olshopclk4.jpg
The entire top bell is balanced and rotates, read at the pointer on lower half. Still works but I only wind every great once in a while.

olshopclk5.jpg
And my not so unique actual shop wall clock thats used to tell time. Its battery-shop power is turned off when not in there

I'm not sure if this will insert the photos, or just put them as attachments (I'm new), but this is a clock my, now long departed, Grandparents gave to me when I was about 7. I've just put it up in the garage, as the boss won't have it in the house - "makes too much noise!!!". It is a weather predictor - the man in the rain coat comes out if rain is due, or the lady in the sun dress comes out if weather is OK. I love it, mainly because the Grands gave it to me. (Photo quality may not be brilliant....).

I initially put this on the wrong thread...

This thread inspired me to go out and find a unique clock - picked it up on ebay. I changed a few things on it, mostly the way the gears were attached and the style of fastener. I think I may change the color on the numbers. About half had fallen off in shipping, so I painted them silver (were originally gold).

Actually, Terranova, damn near everyone in my home town would have that sort of attachment!
Small town, small school, and about the only place any group pics were taken was beneath that clock!
Hard to believe it hung all those years in the gym, unprotected, and never got smashed by an errant basketball!

I've the front cover with the top mounted round gas tank off an old Briggs and Stratton I think with good decent paint that I want to make a clock out of. One of them some day projects.

Here's the one we made at work. It's a Ram 3500 hubcap somebody nicked the lift arm with. Couldn't give it back to the customer like that but it's a pretty awesome clock!

Picked up a "new" shop clock at the auction today.. This is a vintage neon Ford clock, looks to be a dealer only item as near as I can tell..

I just bought this LED digital clock to put over the garage doorway -- it's so ridiculously bright it lights up the whole garage in a blue glow when the lights are off.

It doesn't really go with the retro/vintage/etc. "theme" of the rest of the garage, but it sure acts as a good night light when walking to the car in the dark.

I bought this one because I wanted a neon blue clock.

I bought this one after I had the first one because it had a '60 Chevy on it (I own one).

The neon parts are plugged into a switched outlet that energizes with the overhead lights.

The double-sided bracket was inspired by the one in Jack Olsen's garage. I made it out of scrap plywood.

I think I might have shown mine in another thread. Looks like this is where I should have put it.

I have a couple of clocks in my bike shed. The first is from the Honda museum in Japan. The face is based on the speedometer of the early CB72/77. The second is an old school clock from the 40's that was painted black and hung in the A&P my dad worked in for years. After the store closed in the 70's, it hung in my parents dining room until my mom passed away a few years ago.

Cool, dual purpose! Where did you buy it?
