Never did have a cool shop clock, but I scored this guy over the weekend. All glass except for the back, and has two 15W bulbs in it. Paid $70 for it, but since the main reason I was there was to pick up a $250 piece of steel plate for $100, I like to think the clock was free.

I have Weather Channel clock, has date, time, and indoor/outdoor temp. I use the temp to help regulate throwing wood in the stove during the winter.

It replaced a piece of **** atomic clock that was similar. It had a mind of it's own, when the time changed last fall, it would keep adjusting time, even with the DSL turned off. I'm not talking just an hour but it was 4 hours off. I finally ditched it and bought a different one.

A year and a half later, I finally remembered to get a picture of my clock :lol_hitti

5/8ths (my better half), calls me on my cell phone when she thinks it's TIME for me to come in the house. Sometimes it's for something "special" and sometimes it's TIME for me to perform a "honeydo." sometimes my phone is turned off!

I like this one, except its, Sorry Sweetie I didn't hear the phone :)

For me anyways.

Found a cheapo neon clock for $12.99 at Menards; it had a cardboard-imprinted face plate that I didn't like. So I adapted an embossed tin Shell Oil sign that I had on the wall to be the faceplate, this wasn't much tougher than taking the clock works out, drilling a center hole in the Shell sign, and putting it all back together. Cheap and effective. (Cord to be hidden with a new outlet as part of my wiring project!)

Up through the late 80's or so, had Abdow's Big Boy in Western Mass. Enjoyed their Double Decker Burger & Strawberry Pie.

Hello, folks,

I just joined this site because I found it while googling a neon Eagle Stamps clock I want to sell. I don't know what it's worth, but I did find a plastic clock that sold for $350. Mine is metal, and quite heavy. I'm posting here because I can't figure out how to make a new post on this site, so I'm responding to the link that brought me here.

If anyone can offer any information about it's value, I'd really appreciate it. I'm planning to put it up on ebay. I live in the Cleveland area where Eagle stamps were offered.

thanks for any tips you can give me.

My grandfather pulled this out of the high school in Yakima, Wash about 40 years ago.

at work we have the same clock as this that hangs above the time cards. has been in the shop since 1950's from when the owners father ran the garage. shape is as clean as this one posted. everything works/lights up.

sad thing is, for past ten years i been looking at that clock as i wash my hands and never really read it except for the time. the other day i noticed the 2k mile oil change and was like wtf that is old... thats when i asked the owner and got the history of the clock. he is in his mid 50's and can remember the clock hanging in the shop from when he was 5/6 yrs old.

of course i then did some research and was **** these bring some money. but it is not going anywhere.

I just found this thread, very nice. I've got an identical one to that mtkst19 in the "Restored 1930's Auto Shop"...

SpinnerClockSm1.jpg

...that still has all it's original paint on the outer case. They call them spinner clocks...

SpinnerClockSm2.jpg

...because of the totally cool spinning light pattern that forms around it in the dark. Mine dates from 1954 and keeps perfect time.

I like the old flip style as I can read them without my glasses on.
I bought the larger Copal one first, but it didn't keep time.

I have a couple of the bedside type in the house too.

I love those flip clocks. Very hard to find ones that are not junk.

I bought a couple of TWEMCO ones from an ebayer in China. Very nice clocks and keep good time, but almost impossible to find here.

Cheers!

Like others have said, I just use my cell phone. Never really thought much about getting a clock. There are some neat ones in this thread though!

Probably most appreciated by bimmer fans that know the car.
Small mile marker of my motor build I had this cheap clock done up on cafepress months ago. It's to help me focus lol when home in the garage projects.

Was like 10wks waiting on Mahle to put these pistons into a small production run for my motor. Custom design shares some from the Porsche turbo. Building a stroker 2.7 (factory is 2.3) for an older BMW M3 is done by the Swedes and Germans. Project has been going since last year April when the custom endurance crankshaft was tooled.

I too love the sub clocks. I have 2, inside my house and at a beach cabin. They were from sharper image. As for a garage clock... I have tried a bunch of battery/hanging clocks but I can't get one to run. It must be too cold, or they draw moisture? Tried batteries several times but ended up putting a smaller battery alarm type on my bench.

No pictures of my clocks yet, but I wasted an hour and a half looking at other ones this morning.
I do have a unique clock in my garage that I didn't see any pics like it.

Won this from Yoohoo...

I loved Yoo Hoo as a kid growing up in the northeast. Today my perfect meal pairing is a thick steak with bottle of cabernet sauvignon, but as a kid it was YooHoo and Kit Kats. Sadly, most people in the south have no idea what it is.

Found this at a friends house asked him if he wanted to sell it he told me to take it.That it had come with the house 14 years ago and it never worked .
Took it apart and gave it a good cleaning Found a clock on sale for 5 dollars and a new light bulb for 3 dollars. Put everything back together and for under ten dollars got a good clock.

I got this double sided clock thrown in for free with some other stuff I bought at a garage sale last summer. They didn't know if it worked or not. Turns out it only needed batteries. I mounted from my barn ceiling. The faces can be "clocked" in any direction.
