The Caterpillar clock needs a bulb, the Snap on clock is in the shop office, and the M-M clock is a reproduction.

Cabinet with Instruments...

Clock is from a '78 Porsche 911SC, Voltmeter from an early quattro coupe, battery is a formula-car sized redtop. I now run a trickle charger on it full time.

Im trying to think of something cool to make a wall clock out of, like a steering wheel from a old or rare car or maybe a rim but that would be quite heavy for a wall anchor. really diggin that sub clock. that glow clock is cool as poo also.

if you use a wheel, you can double it as a air hose reel.

It's a 14" dual faced electric unit, was purchased on ebay for $50 (mfgr said it listed for $500+ originally!), and with a custom mount, swings in for time changes by reaching out the second story office window (adjustment knobs are on the rim opposite the mount bracket).

Here are some recent photos with the clock spaced out (note black block) to match the centerline of the future exhaust fan duct and row of lights:

And one more to show final picture:

Now that is pretty nifty.

Made this from a sales clock from a pest control services company. The numbers are of my own fonts!

It's this thread that made me do it.

I put two clocks together to make one two-faced railroad station type clock, right in the middle of the garage. Now I can move my drill press to where the old clock used to be.

It's not as cool as some of these salvaged dealer and parts company clocks, but it still looks kind of old school.

That's awesome. If I had a garage large enough, I'd do that. It looks great.

this is mine. me and my dad sawed a actual 92 chevy truck rim in half then mounted the clock mechanism inside. it is way heavier than it looks. stock aluminum rims are not light!!!

Not the greatest picture, but the clock is on the left and is an antique Sinclair HC Gasoline "spinner" neon clock. Very good condition, pretty cool and still runs perfectly.

Did anyone say they wait for their wife to beat on the locked garage door
and tell you what time it was and when you were coming in to eat dinner?

That has been my MO for a while now, but she seemed to be getting more and more pissed each time. This thread inspired me to order a vintage Snap on pinup clock off of ebay. I will post pictures when it arrives and goes up.

Thanks, but here's the crazy part. I buy two identical red clocks, put them together, and then take them completely apart to repaint them both (red, again) because I don't think the reds match well enough -- and (worse) I'm bothered by a slight mismatch in gloss levels.

I think that definitely means I've got too much time on my hands. :rolleyes2

For the record, I'm not even a very good painter.

Not quite right:

That color difference would bother me too. It looks a lot better re-painted.

I have an original Chevrolet clock from a dealer (looks to be 70s) but it's broken. I'll have to dig it up and take a pic.

It's on my wrist...and it's called a Timex...it follows me around...even in the garage. My cellphone is in my pocket just in case 5/8ths has something to add to the honeydo list.
