Thank you so much!
Have been wondering about the sizes for the other boxes for so long (so a satisfying feeling to complete that page) :D

About half of my small boxes. Photobucket killed my pictures in an earlier post.

Interesting!
Why do you have so many boxes?
Do you mind writing the box models? (I am specifically interested in knowing which two models the boxes on page four is)

On page four the small box is a KRA-251A the large box has no marking but I think it is a KRA-24. The large box is 20"x8"x7 1/4" (LxWxH). It has a removable tray inside.

I have many small toolboxes that I have accumulated over 50 years. I like them for storing specific items. I also use them to make small portable tool kits that I scatter around the garage and house. Some of the small portable tool kits are for friends who are always coming over to borrow tools for a project they are working on.

Thanks for the info.

I found online (for other interested) the boxes to be:
KRA-251A to be 18,5" x 6,625" x 5" (random old page) Are you small box the same size?
KRA-24 to be 19,875" x 7,75" x 7,5" (On SO's own page)

It sounds pretty right that the big box could be KRA-24.
I have seen that the some models did change sizes like the KRA-24 actually.
Just looked at random catalogue:
KRA-24 (1973) 21 1/8" x 8 3/4 x 9"
KRA-24 (1978) 19 7/8" x 7 3/4 x 7 1/2" (which is the same size they have today)

"Some of the small portable tool kits are for friends who are always coming over to borrow tools for a project they are working on."
That's so kind of you :)

I am currently looking for a toolbox there is around 35cm-40 long (13,78" to 15,75").
Found the KRA-279 (15,1875" x 5" x 2") and the KRA-104 (14" x 18,5" x 2,5") to be in the range but ain't sure where to buy it since SO don't sell the smaller boxes anymore. The closest to my need is actually the KRA-24

I have a 5 of the KRA-104. The dimensions are 36.5cmx13.5cmx6.5cm.
Here are a couple of pictures.

That actually looks like the size I am looking for.
Does it not have any handle? :/

No handle.

Have you considered a Trusco Y-350. It might fit your needs. I have 15 of them. They are very good little tool boxes.

Yes, thought about that.
Not sure about the quality since people are writing it easily bends when it get some hits (from the surrounding).

Do you know if the KRA-104 (14" x 18,5" x 2,5") or KRA-279 (15,1875" x 5" x 2") exist with handles?

I don't think the KRA-104 ever had handles. The Trusco box is not light weight. To dent it you would have to use a heavy hammer with lots of force or drop it from over 6 feet height. I don't abuse mine, but I would never worry about denting one.

I might consider the Trusco T350 again then.

Do your KRA-24 have handles on the side as well as the KRA-25?
Another thing, do you feel like your KRA-24 gets (too) heavy when it's loaded?

The KRA24 does not have side handles. The KRA24 could get very heavy depending on what you put in it. I have a KRA25 which is a little bigger and it weighs 140 lbs with CJ840C puller parts inside it. I have parts to make 4 full CJ840C sets with quite a few extra parts also. You could load the KRA24 to the point it would not be practical to carry it around. It all depends on what you intend to put inside.

In that case, would you recommend the KRA-25D (20,875" x 8,75" x 8,75") over the KRA-24 (19,875" x 7,75" x 7,5") since you have the side handles you can use in case of it gets to heavy?

The purpose is to have all my tools in the box.
I do not own tools like wrenches since I do not have a motor vehicle.
So it is mainly other things like screwdrivers, hammer, screws, measuring tape, adjustable wrench, utility knife, handsaw (maybe), pliers, Stud Finder and a drill (if I can find space in the toolbox). I am just afraid that it get's to heavy so I can't lift and move the box.

The KRA25 is larger than the KRA24 and will hold more tools. The side handles are very handy when the box gets heavy. The KRA25 sounds like it would be a good box for you if you don't mind the weight. The box itself is pretty heavy. I personally don't move mine around much due to the weight. I got it so I could put all my CJ840C puller parts in one place.

I messed up. I forgot I sold my KRA25 15 years ago. I have my CJ840C puller parts in a Proto box that is a little bit bigger than the KRA25. It is 26"x8 1/4"x9 1/2". The box full with the parts weighs 215 lbs. The Proto box alone weighs 16lb 10oz. The KRA24 weighs 11lb 10oz. Here are some pictures of the Proto box and the CJ840C puller parts.

I'll have to empty mine and weigh them.

Would never ask you to do that (unless i did serach the web thoroughly) :D

It okay, just that you actually was willing to empty all your tools just to weight it for me is so big of you - Thank you!

Thanks for the Proto pictures! Your toolbox is so neat and organised (like that).
215 lbs? :O How do you even move it from e.g. from a table over to a wagon?

I just wrote to Snap-on and asked them about the weight for KRA25D so hopefully they have the answer on that :D
