I just picked up my first one this week, it's a beat up old plomb but how fancy do they gotta be and I got it for only $4. The photos are with my cell phone since all my photography gear is still packed up from my recent move.

I should sell my collection too, just taking up a big drawer for something I don't use. Air tools pretty much put them out of business as well as adapters for cordless drill.

AMEN.

Don't use mine much anymore either. Oil pans are about it, if I don't want to fire up the 'ol compressor.

I found this about 6years ago in a bucket of free rusty stuff at a estate sale. It was my first plumb tool and is my most used. Perfect for changing tires etc.. I think snap-on is the only place you can get one new. I don't know why there are not more of these as they are so handy for breaking a nut free.

I've got a 1/2' and a 3/8" C-man, the old style, with the knob on the end. After I break my lug nuts loose, I use the 1/2" to run the nuts off.

There are the flat rate techs and there are those of us for whom using tools is a contemplative activity. Actually, I use speeders quite a bit. Because I didn't grow up with air tools, they've always seemed noisy, intrusive and inexact to me. When I'm tearing down an engine, I'll grit my teeth and let the air gun roll. When I want to enjoy what I'm doing, when I want to feel if the used nuts and bolts going back on an old engine are OK, anytime absolute speed and power is not necessary, I use the hand tools.

I've got three lengths of Snap-on 3/8" speeders. How often do you want to put an air gun on a 36" extension?

I have a big long Snap-On speeder like the one in the lower right corner of Snapmom's photo above. I bought it at a swap meet for $5 if I remember correctly. :)

Speed handles are still used in my line of work. When putting together an engine there's several instances where air tools are forbidden. Speed handles work great for those.

Your big problem is too few speeders. All yours are the same length. Minimum opening brag is at least three lengths in all three drive sizes, if you want to ante in this game.
