I have some waitresses beer trays that are probably 50 plus years old but I don't have a picture of them hanging. One of the Garage Journal members noticed one of my signs and p.m.ed to me about where he could get the same one and I was happy to oblige him.

OK, I went searching and found some pics.

Iroquois Beer once popular in western NYS.

^ Soldiers weren't allowed to work on their own vehicles on base, so they'd do their repairs in the parking lots in front of our stores.
The parking lot in front of the Tillicum store on the first of the month looked like an open-air auto repair shop. Cars and pieces of cars all over the place.
We never had a problem with the young men working on their cars.
The problem was having to continually chase the hookers who worked Union Avenue out of the parking lot.

Often, you see these signs in Canadian Tire parking lots, 'cause they don't want people making repairs and leaving their old junk behind. Got mine from a store that was closing.
This must be an Ontario thing, I've never seen these signs at any Canadian Tire I've been to in Alberta and B.C.

^ It's becoming somewhat common here. The business immediately next door to a local "O'Reilly's" store has several signs posted about "NO auto repairs on this property." Not the only place I've seen it.

Interesting. When my Air Force son was stationed at joint base Pearl-Hickam in Hawaii, they had a really nice auto hobby shop with tools/lifts that any enlisted could use for repairs.

^ OH! yeah... they had a "Motor Pool" facility they could avail themselves to if they were lucky enough to get a slot, but they couldn't pull transmissions in the parking lot in front of the barracks... or at least that's how I understood it to be. (Not military myself.)
Most of the work was quick stuff, although I saw a lot of camshafts, carbs, headers, and Edelbrock manifolds installed right outside the front door. ;)
No photos, unfortunately.

Sweet - MMoline sign- (kinda rare tractors around here even moreso for signs) I dont have pics of mine (they are all new repros anyway-) But I wanted to mention mine came from HObby Lobby- pretty good prices and repros of alot of 1940-1960s automobilia/petroliana- Never cared much for wife stores- until i found the signs there- Now I don't mind if she goes- i just go see what I can find too-
Thanks for mentioning Hobby Lobby, was able to buy several tin signs yesterday for half off.

Found this sign still wrapped in plastic at a Salvation Army store for $1.50 +tx dated 2017sign.jpg
Neat! I didn't see that when you first posted it. That's an industrial setup although engine-driven hay balers also had belt sets like that. We had a Holland super 77. Fascinating machine to watch in action, and quite dangerous to be close to. You had to keep your fingers out of it, for sure. They sold matched sets for that which must have seemed expensive at the time, ha ha. That's a strange choice of signs to reproduce but I like it.

This one is on the wall in the garage. Obviously, as evident by the two torn center holes, whoever in the past decided they really wanted this one, just ripped it right of the pole it was attached to. Still it's in great shape color wise.

Found this gem in a Spokane second hand store about 10 years ago. I've never seen another one otherwise, but it does appear to have been used by the Washington DOT. It now hangs right in front of where my wife parks so that she and the kids see it every time they leave to go somewhere in the car.

Most of my signs are around my desk in the family room. The 3 porcelain signs above the desk are repop's, the Pepsi thermometer is vintage, the goldleaf "Asylum" sign is modern and I commissioned the "Snickarbod" sign after reading the book "The Gentle Art of Swedish Death Cleaning".

Cheers

Jim

Three I doubt anyone else has... the pizza one is 1 of 2 made... I worked at a pizza place in the late 90s. I got one of the signs when they closed up. The second is the falling cow sign i've seen photos of. I decided to make my own. The third I found on marketplace. He had $60 on it and I didn't talk him down.

So true, always good for a laugh. Used to ride there many times per year:

Have always had this one near my library of manuals for last 30 years:

I have two Duo-Glides so it's only fitting:

Not a tin, but a cool one I really like. I bought an industrial building and setup something resembling a guild/studio for my friends and I to build motorcycles, weld, make things, and hang out. This was during a big upswing in chopper blogs and maker blogs and the like. A good friend of mine made this for me saying "you guys don't do any of that stuff, just the good parts" or something similar. She said "you don't have to hang this you know". I'm no tough guy, and am a contrarian for life . . . on the wall it went:

Cool stuff in here. I may find some wall space on the one side of the garage that doesnt have shelves up against it. But I have posters up.
